Description
I personally find Disney's Dinosaur as a guilty pleasure of mine:It has a lot of flaws in both terms of plot and scientific accuracy, but on the other hand, the animation has aged quite well for it being Disney's first CG movie and some of the characters are pretty decent.Besides, I used to watch it quite all the time on my childhood,so i like to watch it every now and then to refresh nostalgia.
But as a semi-paleo geek,i dont let said nostalgia blind me for all innacuracies that this movie carries with.
I can kinda tolerate some of them such as the titanic Carnotaurus, the feather-less velociraptors or even the presence of lemurs in the movie (how ironic that im also a BIG primate geek and actually be OKAY with that last part).
But there IS one that even as a child i used to scratch my head and ask "why"?,and that is the lipped Iguandons.
I know that youv'e probably heard that complaint a million times before, but, what can i say? They look uncanny and kinda weird. That's like adding an elephant's trunk to an alligator.
Every child that was,or is still, obsessed with paleontology knows that Iguanodon had a hard beak.
And too bad, because Aladar is one of my favorite characters of the movie.
So yeah...
Dinosaur is owned by Disney

Though they did explain in the bonus features is mostly having them talk with their beaks looks a bit distracting and makes it look like a hand puppet when talking.

Oh come on! You gotta go and give Dinosaur a burn?! I grew up with this movie, and I still love it. But I will be honest though, Iguanodons actually did have beaks but the animators thought thay could get more personality out of the characters with lips. In fact, they still have the beaks it's just the lips are animated over them, according to the film makers.
But this is still funny though. And is that the Iguanodon from Walking with Dinosaurs?

I knew that Iguanodon had a beak when I was a kid. I also watched the movie since I was a kid as well.
I do know that there were many Inaccuracies with the dinosaurs from that movie. I also don't think lemurs lived alongside dinosaurs, because those primates first appeared after the dinosaurs went extinct (except for birds).
I know there's alot of primates, but I'm not that much of a primate geek. I'm a Paleo-geek for that matter.

Oh wow, lol, when i watched that movie the fact that the iguanodons had lips slipped through my mind, didn't even notice when i was a kid, so that explains why i always switch back and forth from lipped iguanodon to beaked...

Aah the weird lipped Iguanodons that, in some individuals, also had strange bumps on their noses.
Another thing I love about the film is James Newton Howard's soundtrack.
