Xenomorphs can go from implantation to explosion in under 48 hours. Actual labour is caused by the releasing of an enzyme from the unborn's lungs (saying 'hai, i'm ready to breathe') which, in turn is absorbed by the womb lining.
This modified Xeno is an oddity as it's obviously not going for it's main growth location (which would be likely an area behind the breast-bone, accessed either by the oesophageal passage or wind-pipe and moving to expand slightly away so as not to disrupt breathing until the gory end...
so, whatever sadistic son of a spanner spawned this sucker obviously has altered the Xenomorphic biology to grow less like a parasite. Taking nutrients directly from the host (or now, mother) in order to grow at an accelerated rate, that is not as lethal to the host.
Utilising the existing reproductive organs, and secreting some kind of elastication-inducing slime, the host is capable of expanding at a remarkable rate, as well as healing damage caused by the growth (as seen by her reducing stretch-marks).
Although utilising the natural organs of the host, the Xenomorph still has differences in biology. No umbilical cord for one, because it's nutrients is gathered Percutaneously (through it's skin). The enzymes it releases also sends the hosts metabolism into hyperdrive, causing a near drunken state of hormone overdose as the body adapts to a very extreme motherhood (also causing a redistribution of mass to the breasts, hips and rear) as the initial slime is absorbed subcutaneously (from under the skin).

Xenomorphs are naturally intelligent. It is uncertain if this is a result of hive-mind mentality, genetic memory or psychic linking to the queen. They are sentient enough to solve problems either way. The basic effect of this is that they find if they move a lot, the host gets... agitated... the enhanced heart-rate and writhing causes more nutrients to be released (and in this case, for her to stop bloody squeezing them!)

Birth:
A) This is the most common result of the altered genetics.
They will find themselves 'aimed down' in the womb. This is due to a complicated mix of inherited biology, muscular movements and the natural shape of the uterus.
When they are 'ready', they begin pushing outwards with more frequency as they run out of growing room. Absorbing the majority of the remaining liquids the host has released, their bodies release an enzyme that triggers labour, very similar to that in humans. The cervix opens rapidly (due to a muscle-relaxant) and causes a small burst of the thicker slime that has built up covering it, protecting it from the agitated movement of the unborn.
After her 'waters break' the host will experience most symptoms relating to labour. The following birth can be easy if the creatures leave one at a time (because of their smaller size to a regular human infant) however, if the host 'pushes' too hard, they will often leave more than one at a time and cause... different sensations.
The muscle relaxant the unborn release also acts as a nerve stimulant and has been known to cause unexpected pleasure.

B) Xenomorphs are a hardy and resilient species and every so often, albeit rarely, their initial instincts take over and they will be born in their traditional manner...
This is not as fatal as their chest-implanted brethren as the womb houses no vital organs.
It is highly rare for a 'burster' to take the difficult route through the back, puncturing other organs, but it is not unheard of if the womb is made into an unappealing prospect (think, kevlar corset... or plate-male belly-plate)
