Athena (with Nike)edit: after seeing so many comments "teaching" me that Athena's bird should be an owl... here is my reply: This is my original manga version of Athena and Nike (in eagle form).

very beautiful artwork but your symbolism for the goddess is incorrect. For starters, her animal was the owl

I was wondering why she looked so dejected, but then I noticed the minuscule dimensions of her 'spear'. (C'mon and get Freudian wit' me!)

I think the fact that athena isn't drawn in the classical way gives a quite special feel to the picture. Love greek mythology and I also love her.
