I know I haven't uploaded any artwork in ages and it is very much time to upload a new artwork indeed. This is also my first (also even digitally colored) take on Zelda - Skyward Sword Princess Zelda.But the very reason for this to even be made is that this is a very late birthday present for a very dear friend of mine. She requested a digitally colored artwork of SS Zelda smiling and this is the ending results which I am personally satisfied with.
This is a commision and a birthday present for Priya Kishna!Happy late birtday to you, my dear friend! I'm so sorry it took so long!

I'm both amazed and glad that you like it so much and also the coloring itself.
Personally I must say also that I still have a long way to go and improve on my coloring, I've seen artist who can colour their artworks sooooooo amazing. I wanna do that too and that is what I am trying to aim for, improving my coloring all I can.

I myself have alot to improve on and a long way to go. Plus. some people has it easier who can afford a tablet. I myself colour my artworks on my laptop with a mouse.

Altough I managed to upload an atwork after a long time, I really wonder nowadays If I can handle DA anymore because my life has become rather complicated and stuff. I have allways ended up, in persiods, being offline over like the whole net for a long time and only been able to be online short at times. So I don't really dare to say that I am back. But I keep trying, but it simply doesn't turn out as I want it to.

Hmm, I haven't been posting anything to dA for ages. I've been doing music and filming and stuff so haven't had time for photography etc.
Keep trying; as long as you don't give up on your artwork you'll be fine.

I rarely get anything done nowadays. Got it complicated and such in life right. But I keep trying and I know that one day I'll be able to remove my damn artblock.

I also confess that the hair and the ribbons really came out satisfying to me, especiallyu the hair. I think I am improving on coloring hair. It makes me very happy because I suck at coloring hair, suck at coloring at all. But it's good news for me that I'm improving and going foward.

Do you use a tablet to draw? Or a mouse?

Sadly no tablet plus that I don't think I can ever afford one.
I'm coloring on my laptop with a mouse. It takes time but it works.

Working with a mouse is so much work!! @_@ You should really save up for a tablet, I mean it. It goes 10 x as fast! And you can colour just as easy as when you colour traditional. I think they have tablets in computerstores and office centres (like staples) now for only 35 dollars. That's almost half the prize of a Wii game, so you should try to consider getting one of the old model tablets. I have one of those, too and they work fine.

I know that it takes lots of time working with a mouse but I'm getting better. It's also just that that I know nothing of tablets and dunno how to install and move the photoshop from my laptop into that one.

Still haven't played Skyward Sword yet (I've been saving up for it) but I love the design of Zelda in this game. It almost gives her a folksy feel to her. You've really done her justice!
Now it reminds me that I haven't done any Zelda fanart in quite a while! I really need to try and do more this year.
BTW, have you played SS yet?

Well, kinda back. I have managed to submit a new artwork now but I dunno really how the future looks. My life nowadays is pretty complicated so I have been going in periods when I'm offline over like the whole net for a long time. But keep trying, it just allways doesn't work out as I want it too. :/
