We all know Wilson don't we? You don't? You know, from the little indie game called 'Don't Starve'? No? Well then, let me tell those of you reading this who don't know about Wilson, who he is. If you do know who Wilson is, then you can just skip my explanation if you want. It'll probably only be a paragraph long.

So Wilson, as I said just a few seconds ago, is a character from a little indie game called 'Don't Starve' and in said game you have to try and survive for as long as you can whilst trying to; build a base, find food, fight monsters and eventually find a way to get off of the island that you are currently trapped on. Wilson isn't the only person you can play as but, he is the only one who you have unlocked when you first play the game. Ha! See? It WAS only a paragraph long! Nailed it!

Ahem, I'll probably do that a lot while writing this story. Now, Wilson himself isn't a born survivor, let me tell you that much, but he is a born genius. Most people who know him would call him a “Gentlemen and a scientist.” Whilst others would just call him “Mad.” Wilson's choice of clothes help him get the title of “Gentlemen” as he wears a dark red waistcoat with white vertical strips that make him look taller than he actually is, black trousers and shoes, and wears a black shirt with long sleeves underneath his waistcoat.

Right, anyway, I think that kinda sums up the game and Wilson but if you want to you can look into the game a bit more. I would suggest watching some videos on youtube. Maybe Sips' videos, their hilarious. Anyway, those people who already know about the game are probably bored so, let me tell you why I'm writing this. We all know that when you start the game that you wake up in the middle of a random island with a tall, black suited JACKASS, er I mean man, called Maxwell who says “Say pal, you don't look so good. You better find something to eat before night comes!” and will then disappear in a black puff of smoke. You'd think that he was trying to help you, but he's the reason that Wilson and everyone else is stuck on that god forsaken island! And I'm going to tell you how he managed to get Wilson there. But not yet. That's for the first chapter. Right now I'm going to tell you about Wilson's family.

Wilson P. Higgsbury's interest for science started thanks to his father, Sullivan J. Higgsbury, who was a esteemed scientist at Oxford university. Some people would say that Wilson had gotten most of his looks from his father but, that is simply not true. One of the most obvious signs of this is Wilson's hair. Yes, Sullivan’s hair was unusual but, Wilson's hair is … weird to say the least. In fact, Wilson's father would say that his hair style made him look like a 'True mad scientist'.And the fact that his hair always returned to its original position meant that it was easier to maintain it. Now, the main word to focus on here is 'was' and 'is'.You got it? OK, lets continue.

Wilson would spend hours upon end in the lab that his father had in his house, studying the fundamentals of science and, no matter how hard his mother tried to convince him that being so indulged in science at such a young age was not healthy, Wilson would continue with his studies, with his fathers help of course. Now, Wilson's mother was a complete opposite to Wilson's father. Alicia Higgsbury was an elegant woman with a lot of patience and would keep Wilson and Sullivan from blowing up the house with their experiments. She would also try and put up with their constant need for test subjects, having to go get more chemicals everyday and, if one of their experiments got out of the lab, with having to make the two clean up the mess that their little monster had created.

One such occasion involves Sullivan leaving Wilson in his lab for a few minutes to collected some more test subjects that he had stored in the shed and Wilson accidentally knocked the table with all of the vials on it, which spilt some chemicals on a lizard that his father planned to dissect. Lets just say that what he made was less than normal. Well, as normal as is classed for a scientist back in those days. When Sullivan heard the crash of glass and Wilson yell for him, he ran to the lab to see what his son had done. What greeted him was a dinosaur like creature, about the size of Wilson, standing in the middle of the room. Wilson instantly named the strange creature 'WeeJay' and took it to the kitchen ,despite his father's protests, and feed it a ham sandwich but, WeeJay only ate the meat from the middle of said sandwich. Unfortunately, later that day, WeeJay managed to escape the house and has not been seen to this day.

Finally, lets not forget Wilson's little brother, Adam. Adam, like Alicia was to Sullivan, is a complete opposite to Wilson. Ah! See, now I’ve used 'is'. Are you seeing a pattern yet? Got any guesses as to what I’m getting at? No? Then wait and see! Ahem, so Adam is four years younger than Wilson and doesn't share the same 'love for science' that his older brother does. In fact, Adam would rather go out and see the world, whilst his brother would happily study it under a microscope lens. Adam would course as much damage as Wilson and Sullivan thanks to his great imagination, so Alicia always had her hands full with keeping the house standing and clean. Now, I'm not going to tell you what Wilson's family looks like, so you can let your imagination run wild with this one.

So, that's Wilson's family. I bet your wondering what this has to do with Wilson being trapped on that nightmare island but just bear with me. I promise that I'll explain.
