Description Remember how I said how my mum wouldn't be happy when she saw veno? Well, that has to be one of BIGGEST understatements of my entire life. I had turned the radio on in the kitchen because I hate it when its silent in the house, even when I know there's someone else in the house with me. It causes my imagination to start thinking about all of the horror games I've seen and all of the creepy-pastas I've listened too, so I didn't hear my mum's car pulling into the drive and the dogs not going mental like they usually do didn't help.

I also didn't hear my mum, sister and brother come in through the front door and I only noticed they had come home when my sister, Paige, opened the kitchen door and screamed, causing veno to shriek and hide behind my arm and the dogs jumping up at the table didn't help the situation. How did I expect my family to react when they saw me holding a bowl of 'krave' with a giant toxic spider eating out of it?

It took about 2 to3 minutes to calm everyone down, including Paige who was the most distressed one of the four, veno coming a close second. My mum told Chad and Paige to unpack the shopping and to put it away while she spoke to me in the living room. I picked veno up and walked out of the kitchen and my mum closed the door behind me and sat down on one of the sofas. She patted the space next to her and smiled warmly at me so, I sat next to her and placed veno onto my lap, waiting to hear what my mum was going to say.

“Who's this then?” She said in a more bubbly tone than I expected. She was looking directly at veno and started to stroke her back. Veno, who was still tense after what had happened in the kitchen, started to quietly purr as my mum stoked her. “I thought that you didn't like spiders.”

“Well, she isn't actually a spider.” I looked at veno who seems to have calmed down, then at my mum. She's looking straight at me and there was, not only compassion in her eyes, but curiosity and worry. I don't blame her, I was a little worried too. “She's a Yogpet.”

“A 'Yogpet'?” Now there's confusion as well in her expression. “What exactly IS a Yogpet?” I looked at veno again only to see that she was looking at me as well. We both knew that it would be hard to explain what happened at the malting’s and how I knew about the Yogpets.

“Well...” I explained all that I knew about the Yogpets: how a lot of people on Deviant art had received an egg with different colours and patterns, how different creatures that we deviants had dubbed 'Yogpets' after the Yogscast had hatched from the eggs and how veno had hatched from the egg that I had gotten. She really didn't like the last part. I was amazed that she didn't call the police right then and there.

“Is this all you know?” She had become more and more worried and angry as I told her what had happened whilst she had been shopping. I didn't want to tell her about the scroll that had been in the egg and I definitely didn't want her to know about the little message that had been in it, so I just nodded. I'm a horrible liar so I didn't want to say anything.

“Well then” She stood up and started to walk towards the kitchen. “I had  better see if Paige and Chad need some help. I suggest that you take... What's she called?”

“Veno”

“Well, you had better take veno upstairs so that she doesn’t scare Paige again.” And with that, she opened the door to the kitchen and went inside, leaving me sitting on the sofa with veno still on my lap.

“Come on then veno.” I stood up with veno in my arms and headed to the door. “Time to see where your going to be sleeping.” She chirped happily at that. I opened the door that separates the living room from the stairs and went up them two at a time. I reached the landing and pushed open the door directly in front of me to reveal my sister's and my purple room.

The posters that my sister had put on the right wall shuddered as the breeze from the landing was let into the room. I hated them. They were always falling down and it would always happen at night so it would scare the shit out of me. I walked into the centre of the room so that veno would be able to see everything. She seemed particularly interested in my laptop that was on the small chair that I had gotten when I was a kid.

“Here's the beds. Top bunk is mine, bottom bunk is Paige's. Don't go on that one.” I pointed at both of the bunks, my white duvet spotless and my sisters purple one dirty with dog paws. “The desk there is Paige's so don't mess with anything on it okay.” I pointed at the very messy desk that was next to the door, Make-up and wires everywhere. “The wardrobe on the left is mine and the one on the right is Paige's, again, no touching.”  I showed her my sisters wardrobe that was covered in stickers and then I showed her my plane white wardrobe. “And here is your bed.” I went into the corner that use to be my sisters desk and showed her the little bed that I had made her. Luckily she still fit into it.

“So, what do you think?” But veno wasn't paying attention to me and was trying to wriggle her way out of my arms, making small whistling and purring sounds as she went. “OK,OK. I can take a hint.” I went down onto my knees and gently placed veno on to the purple carpeted floor. She stood firm and she very slowly started to walk towards my laptop on the small chair that was in the corner  of my room, right in front of the door of my wardrobe.

“You've already learnt how to walk? You little smart-ass.” I couldn't help but smile when veno turned round and smiled at me. I was really starting to warm up to the idea of looking after veno. My fear of spiders might even go away.

I heard yelling from down stairs and instantly knew that it was my sister arguing with my mum. Paige obviously didn't want veno to sleep in our room let alone in the house. I couldn't blame her. She had probably thought that veno was some sort of monster or radioactive spider mutant.

Oh well. She would just have to get used to veno. She was here to stay. But, there was a  problem that need to be sorted out urgently. I had school the following Monday, and the only person who would be home would be Paige. Looks like I would have to convince Paige into looking after veno whilst I was at school and that would was NOT going be easy

I noticed that a lot of the Yogpet owners have to go to school

That's probably because most people who took up the yogpet challenge are 13+. If it was up to me, I would just stay at home playing video games with veno.

I would watch Yogscast with RJ, my Ridgepup. And making sure he doesnt kill me, himself, any neighbors, the cats, and doesn't blow anything up. He has a tendancy of spawning things in like Tnt when hes bored.

Also when hes threatened he will spawn harmful things in. Like lava.. no buckets. Just a plain old source block of lava. And creepers.

Wow. All veno has done is disembowel my laptop and fix it. Though I did panic when I saw my laptop in pieces on the floor of my bed room.

Yeah. Although if I need to, all I need for RJ to do is spawn me in a bow with infinity on it and an arrow. Thank goodness I'm pretty good at archery. That or he could probably spawn in something from a mod.
