Description
Shizuo cursed loudly as he stumbled through the back streets of Ikebukuro. He had been chasing Izaya when suddenly he had been
surrounded by workers of the informant. Shizuo had taken them out of course, but not before being shot multiple times in his arms, chest,
and legs. “That damn flea.. I should’ve known it was a trap.” He hissed through his teeth. He hobbled up to the entrance of his apartment
building, sliding into the elevator without being seen. He pulled his vest a bit, trying to hide most of the chest hits. He knocked on the door
of his apartment, his face cringing slightly from moving his arm. The door swung open, revealing wide (e/c) eyes. “Shizuo!” (Y/n) gasped,
before her face returned to normal. She helped him inside, checking the hallway to make sure no one had seen the bloody Shizuo enter. She quickly shut the door, locking it.
“Izaya..was this his doing?” She asked Shizuo quietly, while using tweezers to pull the remnants of the bullets out of him. Shizuo nodded. “He led me to a park, where a bunch of his bastard emplyees surrounded me. They shot me a few times before I handled them.” He growled. (Y/n) nodded silently. She had been dating Shizuo for three years now, and had grown accustomed to seeing him with gashing wounds and bullet holes. Shizuo looked at her from the corner of his eyes, seeing her furrowed brow and worried eyes. “(Y/n),” He said softly, making her look up at him. He looked down at his shoes. “I.. I’m sorry. I drag you into situations like this.” He then looked her in the eyes, a serious expression washing over his face. “I would’nt blame you, you know. If you wanted to leave.” (Y/n) placed her hand gingerly on his cheek, being careful not to touch any cuts. “Shizuo..I love you.” She said to him, before returning her attention to his wounds. Shizuo continued to stare at her, before looking back at the ground. “..I know.” He muttered. Even after three years, he would never get used to the fact that she meant it. He never imagined that a girl like (Y/n) would stay with him for this long. Between his anger issues, his terrifying strength, the number of enemies he had.. She was still here. And he was scared to lose her. (Y/n) looked up at him, seeing his sad expression. “Shizuo?” She called softly. He looked over to her. She leaned up, kissing him gently on the lips, catching him off-guard. “I do love you.” She said again, resting her forehead on his. “No matter what, I’ll be here for you.” Shizuo clenched his eyes shut, biting his lip. Why did she have to be so sweet and caring.. Why did she have to always be here for him? Didn’t she realize he could kill her? He could accidentally crush her, or she could be targeted by Izaya, or someone who had it our for Shizuo. He was so scared to keep her, but he knew he needed her. Shizuo raised his arms shakily, bringing her into a tight hug. He felt his eyes sting, but held it in. “(Y/n)..don’t..leave.” He murmured into her hair. She smiled, closing her eyes and returning the hug. “I’m not.” She said, kissing his forehead. Shizuo pulled away, before bringing her in to a needy kiss. He gripped her upper and lower back, holding her against him. She kissed him back, tangling a hand into his hair. When they pulled away, she rested her forehead against his, kissing his nose lightly. Shizuo closed his eyes, not letting her go. “Shizuo, I love you.” She said one more time, closing her eyes. Shizuo looked up to her, letting a small smile ghost over his lips.
