I did this as an art trade with the amazingly talented *pikminlink !The subject matter is the main character from the forthcoming title Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Link! I mean, he's only my favorite video game hero ever, so why did it take me so long to do fanart you ask? I wanted to do him justice. And the new costume and feel of TP is so awesomely cool, I couldn't resist the temptation this time around.
I drew an inked it, scanned it, and colored it in Photoshop CS. This is my first full digital coloring job, so be nice, please. I learned a lot from this peice, and though I couldn't do all that I wanted with it (time restraint), I'm pretty happy overall. There are also so problems with the pose and anatomy, but I'm letting it slide for now; that was one difficult pose.
Enjoy! Make sure to go pick up Twilight Princess when it comes out; I know I'm going to have a blast playing it on my Wii!

Its so dark! But you added so much detail it doesn't matter, each part of the background and foreground stands out on its own.
Link looks pretty awesome too, only his left hand looks out. But costume to pose, to the colours to the shniy spot-light-fairie effects, it's perfect

Awesome linework and coloring! The wolf got a bit lost there in the background (took me a while to figure out what those two blue shapes were) and his left hand is a bit off, but the coloring managed to hide all the other little imperfections. Kudos!
Very nice background, the colors of the sunset showing through the edge of the forest go very well with the rest of the composition, they're a nice contrast.

Your digital coloring is really amazing, especially knowing it's done with a mouse.
You left a lot of pen lines, which was an interesting choice to make. In some ways it fits because it feels more free-flowing.
The lighting is fun. I love the sunset in the background because it's this unexpected detail that gives the whole image that extra "oomph". Of course, the light streaming through the well-rendered trees and the little fairy lights are magically delicious.
Link is a fan-favorite of many video game players, and you should be proud of yourself because you've done him and his world justice. Great work, as always.
