This is one of the loadingscreens that I made for Crusader Kings 2 while doing my internship at Paradox Interactive.The image belongs to Paradox Interactive, and I have their permission to show it here.
This was the first image I painted during my internship, and probably one of the better ones as well.
I enjoyed making it a lot, because of the almost fantasy mood and elements in it.
Kind of looks like the Fellowship of the Ring or something, but the idea is to show an early crusade.

I like to imagine that they're a small force on its way to link up with a mustering crusader army. Again, it's cool to see more details in the full size painting here, like the crows. Also, the crusaders marching from darkness into the light is a great allegory.
