Description
One of Raymond Loewy's pride and joys, the Pennsylvania Railroad's Torpedo! These were streamlined K4's, that were mostly used on fast express trains. It didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, but it's good enough. I left out the Pennsy lettering, so you can add your own, if you feel so inclined.

Didn't Lionel have a somewhat similar pre-war model of this engine?

Yeah, a little 4-4-2, if I remember correctly. I've always wanted one.

I think that would make a good Pre-war MTH/Lione reproduction if they made it. I'd buy one!

I think the Torpedo, 263e Blue Comet W/ Cars, Flying Yankee and UP City of Denver have to be my favorite Pre-war O-Gauge items. I'd put aside the weird couplers just to get one.

So, would you like me to add more details like I did with the Firefly?

You can, if you'd like.

fun fact: this engine starred in a Batman episode, but there was only an engineer and it sounded like a diesel.

Well some of the K4s did have mechanical stokers, and some steam Streamliners did have air horns as well as, or in place of, their whistles. Even the S1 had one.
