Alright. I admit it. I love the cartoon Darkwing Duck, but if there's one episode that I loved most, it was "Life, the Negaverse, and Everything". I mean, what's not to love about an alternate universe where the bad guys are the heroes?Ā*Yes, I am aware that Megavolt doesn't have his hat - I wanted there to be something to distinguish him from the Normalverse Megavolt.
I will be writing some fanfiction for these guys...after I finish all my other stories....

Hey, I love this piece! The Friendly Four are definitely my favourite thing to come out of Darkwing Duck (no offense to the 'mighty mallard' of miraculous machinations, not to mention alliterations). You have done such a lovely job with both Gos and Megs here. One thing I appreciate about fanfiction and fanart is that it allows for a little more time to develop setbacks as well as triumphs. In some ways, that means our beloved characters have to deal with more disappointments, but they also get these really sweet moments, like you have created. With a single image, we now have a multitude of stories and explanations running through our minds to contextualize your work. Thanks for doing this.

I have read fanfiction that depicts Megs as the leader of the Friendly Four, as well as him and Gos sharing the closest bond out of them all. I can definitely see her as being their chief inspiration and source of hope in their fight against Negaduck (who I can see as returning for revenge, waging major war against them). This is so sweet and precious, and you can just see how much they care about each-other.
That's one of my favorite episodes, too. My favorites include most of the Megavolt ones, the ones with him and Quackerjack partnering up (they are HILARIOUS together, and have such chemistry), and most of the ones with the Fearsome Five.

Ohmygoodness yes, I love episodes with those two! Somehow, even though they're supervillains, I can never truly see them as ''evil" or anything. A little messed up maybe, but all the more endearing because of it!
I have read those fanfics two about the Friendly Four too, and fell in love with them. Ahilty, as she is known on fanfiction, has created a whole world for them. I loved it so much, I sent a message to her, asking her what I should do, because I was inspired to write for them as well. As she then told, she really isn't in charge of what I want to write, but I just felt like she had done so well, that if I tried anything I would be sort of, you know, trampling on her territory. But she encouraged me to give it a try, and come up with my own stories, backstories, and personalities. In fact, I've written MY own world for them now, and have several stories in the works. Though I won't be posting them for a while (I want to try finishing most of them before I do).
It will be written in episode form, one chapter being an adventure with Darkwing and the Justice Ducks in the Normalverse, and the next being the Friendly Four and the Negaverse (with Nega Gosalyn of course). They will alternate as long as I continue to write them. And sometimes a crossover of the two.

Oooo, yes, "Time and Punishment" was really good too. Both episodes were a step more complicated (and even a little darker) than most of the other episodes. Which, personally I like, to a degree.

Ohmygoodness, thank you! Both for the comment and the watch! I love speculating about the Friendly Four and NegaGosalyn too, which, as I sort of mentioned above, is why I am working on a fanfiction series about them, as well as Darkwing Duck. It will be written in episode form, one chapter being an adventure with Darkwing and the Justice Ducks in the Normalverse, and the next being the Friendly Four and the Negaverse (with Nega Gosalyn of course). And sometimes a crossover of the two. I won't be posting the story right away, since I'm currently writing way too much stuff as it is, but I have written up backstories for all of them, as well as drawn lots of pictures (which I plan to release when I post the stories).

Oh yes, I am a very big fan of Ahilty's writings, in fact she is the one who encouraged me to write my own Negaverse stuff. I was orginally going to write a story for her collection, but I got so into it I ended up branching out into my own version of it. It was hard, because I wanted to write something similar, without stealing her backstories and characters (as she had developed them). But finally I was able to break away and form my own personalities, stories and backgrounds for each of them. I'll let you know when I finally post them.

Absolutely. I definitely know how busy life can be. I'm in college full time, work during the summer, work in a preschool room once a month, and co-teach two Bible Studies. And that's fairly light for most people I know.
Oh yes, Nightfall in the Negaverse is amazing! She also wrote more stories for them as well. Backgrounds are HARD. I still struggle with them terribly, which isn't good when you want to go into the field I want to.

Backgrounds are all about perspective, also making sure the quality is as good as the characters present.

Oh yes, perspective. I try practicing one point, two point, etc. perspective, and I suppose I've improved a...little. But that's one of the things I like about art, there's always something to work at.
