Yes, I baked it at I think only 200-220 degrees and left it in there a very long time. Then, I turned off the oven and did not pull it out until morning. The very slow cool down of the oven, means that the bone, glass, and clay won't crack or splinter.

I put a black 'eyeliner' around the eyes in acrylic, then painted rubber cement over the glass. Once done airbrushing I could peal the rubber cement off to a clean clear eye.

I am currently working on a Marten skull, and once I get the style down better I have a full coyote skull I'm going to do this too. But that one I want to plan out a plan of attack fully before starting on. The Marten and Marmot I just sortove... started sculpting and see what happens…. Marten will have reptile orange poppy eyes, and the coyote will have gold and blue bobcat eyes.

Some people get upset about the animal's body being used like this with unknown cause of death. I don’t condone animal abuse in any way, but I technically have no idea how this critter was killed.

Eh. I'd just call those people over emotional and ignore them. I mean, the thing is already dead anyways. Its not like using it's bones for art is gonna hurt it any more.

But I still think this is kewl. XD
