Description note to self: STOP, REDESIGNING, SILVIA.

Mixing knight and samurai armor on her.
When I say mix, It's a stick on rather than an actually mixing them... *sadface*
Still not that happy with everything, except the helmet mask, Helmet's cute. It opens up to act like a samurai helmet deco too.

Hair armor is an idea i like for her, but those just look lame... might need to study sword sheaths or something, though that won't read as shoulder armor... or do I have to make it more like the chest/helmpiece? or less?Β 
Maybe it just needs more jointy things...
waist part is not as cool as i'd likeΒ 
Chest piece may need to look more like an armor plate

A lot of it still isn't elegantly resolved, but at least I have a usable version... gotta move on.

But it is interesting, now that I think about it: "Haste makes waste", but "necessity is the mother of invention".

Sometimes it's a deadline that stops potential from being realized; sometimes it's that deadline that forces ingenuity.

Very nice job on this! I'm glad it doesn't resemble most females' armor in online RPG games (skimpy as all hell).

Then by the same logic, adhering to real life physics, It would be somewhat dumb for "straight up fighting games" to have women at all when it comes to game balance.
I mean, if you're going to be true about the physics and anatomy, when it comes to the top of the top, they're just heavily disadvantaged.

Do we REALLY want less female characters in gaming? I sure don't.

What clashes the most to me is your design language. The helmet is very round, but her chest piece is very angular.

I really like the hair armor idea, but it really does read as shoulder armor at the moment.Β 

I'd personally add some armor going over her hips/below her waist.Β

The head piece was originally flat, but it just didn't fit well. though apart from one curve, it's still pretty angular.

I'm trying to make it read as shoulder armor. as an excuse to give her wider shoulders without doing so. the problem is rather it's too lame.

Intentionally had minimal armor below the waist for both story/character reasons and also practical design factors.

Brief history of armor design: People seem to think full plate armor is basically magic. However the romans were perfectly capable of making full plate armor, They just didn't and instead chose to only armor their torso. The full plated knights later on became sitting ducks to projectile weapons such as the arbalest (Which is what I loosely based her tank after) which ended the age of full plates. and looking at modern warfare armor, the romans had it right all along.

Or as Sun Tzu puts it: "Defend everywhere, and everywhere will be weak"

Silvia in this case, She simply defends her center of gravity (Which is a little higher than other people's) and lets torque take care of the rest.
I might redesign her knee plate, since it's fugly, and she did have pile bunker boots earlier on,

hmm...well im not going to say any thing about her look after you put a lot of work on her tho if you want to give her more sifi flare to her you can give her a Transforming weapon.
and from looking at the referent sheet for her i say the best combo i can see is (grate sword - axe - duel sword') it give it a rock paper scissors motif and hell why not give have a gun built in the sheath for long range.
