Weight: 190 lbs (lotta muscle, includes mechanical limbs)
Occupation: Captain of a pirate crew
Status: Not loyal the the Irken Empire

Strengths: Heals quickly, is very physically strong, social, charming, adapts quickly to circumstances. Strong leadership abilities.

Weaknesses: Fear of deep water and science facilities/doctor offices. Isn't very book-smart, is reckless and often gets hurt because he throws himself into stupid circumstances. High metabolism, burns through nutrients quickly (Meaning he has to eat a lot or starve sooner than the average irken). Can only survive 7 minutes without his pak.

Tex is probably the most developed character I have, and most fun.

He really didn't have a nice childhood. .D. Born to a pair of scientists in a remote cloning facility, he wasn't technically part of the Irken Empire--in fact, the owners of the facility were rather on the outs with the empire. His birth WAS a little more celebrated than most smeets--but that was just because he actually LIVED after being born, unlike countless smeets in the facility before him. The facility existed to work on improving tank-bred irkens, speed up the development process, and result in higher reflexes and heightened abilities throughout their growth. Basically, to create a better irken, and faster. The Axxon, Texxon, and Noxxon lines were all designed to perfect aspects of a living thing. The Texxon lineage specialized in physical prowess...strength, speed, fast healing, etc. All members of the Texxon line had green eyes. The Noxxon lineage (purple eyes) focused on intelligence, and mental prowess, and the Axxon line (Red eyes) focused on the kinetic abilities of an individual...being able to master talents and adapt to new abilities. i.e. become a master of the piano, but also be a black belt in karate. The focus of the science facility was to combine these three specialties into one line of irkens, but this proved to be as easy as stuffing a sock into a thimble.

Texxon A3, who was born missing two limbs, an eye, and with underdeveloped organs, wasn't an ideal success...but hey, he was alive, which was more than could be said for the Axxon and Noxxon smeet lines.

For the next five years, he puttered around the facility with his basic mechanical limbs, generally being a nuisance--the two scientists of the building had no time to care about a smeet, and he was generally left to his own devices throughout the years, learning basic things from A.I. teaching programs.

The facility, despite meeting more successes, wasn't able to keep out from under the eye of the Empire forever---when Tex was about five, the facility was discovered, and created an uproar of indignation and interrogation. Most of the successful smeets (His siblings, technically) were confiscated for study or euthanasia. One of the scientists took a daring risk and sneaked Tex out of the building right under the Empire's noses. She was determined to let at least one of their successes fulfill their purpose: Go out and lead a life that proved their experiments had resulted in an irken better than the common Empire drone or soldier. She took him to an old friend of hers...a woman still in the Empire, who worked in Agriculture with her mate on Irk.

The scientist easily wiped Tex's memories of the facility from his pak, gave him to her old friend, Mandara, in the middle of the night, then left---she was never seen again. It's possible she managed to sneak out others of Tex's siblings, so they may very well still be out there in the galaxy.

Mandara and her husband were Overseers; that is, irkens who oversaw the agriculture of Irk by keeping up the hydroponics (since, undoubtedly, irkens don't farm anymore, machines do everything), equipment, machinery, and ensured that food was grown properly. They were the closest things to farmers that Irk had.

From that point on, Tex lived pretty happily. He had no memory of his past 'parents', and enjoyed his new ones quite a lot---they grew to love him, too. About ten or so years later, Tex was sent off to the Irken Academy, where he met Nuic and their brief history happened--first enemies, then friends, then enemies again. Due to the event that caused them to be enemies again, involving Tex being in a rather nonthreatening Anarchy group that the Enforcers found out about and still took lethally seriously, he got his hands on a stolen space cruiser and escaped as a fugitive from the Empire, out into space.

From there, Tex steadily explored different worlds, got a LOT of lucky breaks, met people, both friends and enemies. In time, he got the idea to create an actual pirate group and learn how to successfully pull off heists and thefts. And getting his mug on more than a few wanted posters.

The rest is pretty much history!
