‘Reaching the First Harmonic’

The first harmonic is the fundamental frequency of a system’s wave phenomena given the boundary conditions and the medium’s parameters. It is the frequency from which all other higher harmonics follow (as direct integer multiples of it), and besides physics it is also, of course, found in music. Since all frequencies scale off of it, it is indeed the key parameter to the rest of a harmonic series. Now, in a similar manner, people have this too, with each subject functioning as the boundary condition creating a general intersubjective medium, so that a general relation must be established, that is, a particular mode of interaction from which all others are supplemented and understood. This first one may well be the hardest to reach for differently tempered/troubled persons, and yet the possibility presents itself through a vulnerable and brave mutual understanding: a past potential becomes an actual. After turbulence, the relation between the two finds its first key vibration and likewise its limitless modes of harmony.
