I find it very funny that there's art of all 3 with capes, even though Violen looks absolutely ridiculous in a cape and Agile's is sort of redundant since his design is already cape-like. Also the similarities to Wily were kind of a weird red herring, though Capcom of America said, "yeah, he's Wily, sure!" I think that was around the same time they said that Akuma/Gouki was possessed by a demon? They remind me of Ed Edd & Eddie, letting Eddie say whatever to get more jawbreakers, making double-D churn out great games, and slowly getting ready for Ed to take the helm.
Worth noting, his fortress sprites have a slightly different palette. Not really sure why. Since it wouldn't really do to have 2 of that thing fighting each other, I didn't bother with the big machine & just recolored his little pink bucket and just used his first appearance palette. Whatevs

I've never liked Capcom America's handling of him. Why they replaced "defeated by a memento of Light" with that prophecy spiel is a mystery to me.
