Last part of Luke's mission thing. He'll continue to work at the cafe because he likes to keep busy, but at least now his home isnt so empty, and Jello isnt a hobo anymore.

and i never thought of him being mute, and kinda wish i'd thought of something clever to do with his voice. like, having a mute character would have been pretty interesting to deal with. but oh well, opportunities missed XD

That's such a sweet (and kind of sad for Luke) story!
I like Luke more and more, he's just such a nice person, but can be very persistent. XD

i like that word. I'm still trying to find his character as i go, and i feel like he's nothing like i wanted him to be at first, but just right the way he's turned out

Of what I can see I like his character:
I think he's nice and helpfull, though can be a bit odd. He respects other peoples interests and freedom (thus he led baby chop down trees), but has a tallent of finding other pokemons "weak points" (not physical weak points, but something in their personality/ideals/personal stuff. Atlest that what I think, and would explain why he has Baby wrapped around his littlefinger (or a promise to look after her or something...), and how he could convince Jello to stay.) But he never misuses this ability to get what he wants because of his huge heart.
He always tries to keep spirits around him high, even if things look bad.
I don't know if that was what you were going for, and I could be wrong in some parts, but that's what I think anyway.

thank you for that analysis, i find it very interesting reading how other people see my characters, and it's actually fairly accurate.
i also originally intended on giving him a sort of mental illness, one that makes him naturally in a confused state even though spinda arent really. he takes medication made from persim berries (which cure confusion) and perform traditional tea ceremonies every morning to keep his mind calm so that he can get through the day. i dont know if i still want this to be a thing, as drawing a dizzy character has turned out to be harder than i thought, but who knows. Also i would like to keep things light humored and fun.

That sounds very interesting, and it would explain the parsimbarries in his back yard and why he makes tea every morning even though he doesn't like it. Come to think of it, he does look a bit tired now and then.
Anyway, up till now I really like his character, so whatever you decide to do is up to you. I just enjoy reading your comics ^^

Adorable and tender ending... something Edison would have done also (he's the leader of my Rescuers team, Dynamo). I see, by Luke's generous nature, that he and Edi should be very good friends.
