Hmmm interesting point you have there. What I do find about digital photography, (depsite its convenience and cost-effectivity in the long run), there is the subject of technology. While this is not a bad thing, I sometimes tend to see it as a bit of a bother, (just like computers lol), because while with a film camera, you can produce the same quality of work, (especially like enlargements, etc) with a model from 1960 as with one from 2006. However, with a digital model, you have to keep on upgrading to get newer and better, which doesn't do much for cost-effectivity.
I definitely agree with you that it's turning into a whole medium of its own though. The thing is, digital photography and art falls into a complete genre of its own these days, and is almost an artform in itself.
But yeah... quite the stunning photo you have here... I like your colour usage and focus. It kind of agrees with your statement that the "21st century ushered a new way of thinking", because of the colour usage, although the white border almost gives it the reminiscence of a polaroid.
Who knows, maybe I'm talking crap here, but your work is stunning and very distinctive. Well done, good sir!

i agree to your comment about the different arguments and medium of photography. i don't think it ever matters if it's the "original" photo that comes out of the camera, or a heavily photoshopped one, as long as that was really the vision one had in his/her mind that was captured the moment he/she pressed the shutter. hell even the camera is just a box that has its own settings and algorithms that crunches out a bunch of pixels, which doesn't portray the scene anyway, it sees pixels, not harmony.
i love photoshopping my photos. and i shoot digital, simply because it's easier and that's how i've always accustomed to... also that i can never really understand what you do. but i admire your passion, and the outcome is all that matters.
god why am i writing a book too?

This is such a refreshing change from a lot of the things I've been seeing lately. And I just love it when people use colour and more importantly get it right. Maybe it's just because I fail with colour and make stuff black and white out of sheer laziness. Look forward to seeing more
