Description
Decided to make another small sculptureAs we can see here, it's the legendary hand of gold of the golden touch. The hand of Midas. King Midas partied with Dionysus for 10 days, and having been such a good host, the God of party told Midas he could have whatever he wanted. And Midas asked that whatever he touched, turn to gold.Β
This depiction comes from the 3rd Aladdin movie, "Aladdin and the King of Thieves", where the King of Thieves is searching for the Hand of Midas. I remembered it well, and figured it would be fun to sculpt. And it was, ha ha!

What did you think of that movie?

I was pretty young when the movie first came out. I didn't think it was bad, being a kid at the time, I thought it was pretty good. Not saying it was very bad now still, but.......eh, did have a weird vibe to it, that didn't feel as strong as it's first movie, or how the 2nd movie felt. I think I liked the 3rd better than the 2nd. I saw a lot of the "Aladdin the Animated Series", so I sorta felt like the 3rd movie played into how the animated series went.Β

it was originally GOING to be related to the series to the point Mozenwrath was set to be the villain and be revealed to be Aladdin's brother, something that was hinted at heavily in the series. But they decided to not take that route and not involve the series at all

That makes sense, and I guess would've made more sense if it was "Aladdin the Animated Series, Movie", instead of just being the 3rd Aladdin movie. But cool to learn that little note about it. Now I got a cute little Midas hand sculpture to remind me of shows I watched as a kid. Ha ha!
