Description
In Norse mythology, Yggdrasil was the enormous tree that held up reality. It kept the planes of existence in check and was the source of life for everything.Anyway, the wings that she has here are based off of maple seeds, the little pinwheel-like seeds you see spiraling through the air in fall. Her "armor" is actual bark and is part of her, and her horn is a branch wrapped in a vine.
This is more what I'd imagine Fluttershy meaning when she said "I might like to be a tree", a massive living thing that could care for an entire world.
This also came from an idea that I might be developing into a storyline later (one that more or less merges the events of Norse mythology with that of Equestria).
