Very simple process and small number of layers. The line art layer is on top of the Master Mask Layer.
All the base colors layers are clip masked over the Master Mask Layer. I locked each base color layers in transparency mode to only paint the particular areas cleanly.
The Face is painted with soft round brush with only opacity sensitivty on. I dabbed the brush on the face very softly like airbrushing.
Senketsu Eye is treated the same way with soft round brush.
I kept everything dark and neutral in value, that way I can pull and push the value and contrast of colors easily at a later step.
Sort of going for my art style version of Ryuko. Slightly more mature in proportion

i don't think your art style fits Ryuuko very well at all; its good from a technical stand point but you elongated her forms and prettied up her face, which work against portraying Ryuuko's character. Usually love your work but this one isn't good at all

It's only a fan art done for myself. Not for anyone else. It's impossible to please everyone so that's the reason. Thanks for sharing your preference and opinion.

"not good at all" may be an over statement, because again from a technical stand point its really nice! but I'm just not sure how well your depiction melds with the character your portraying. Thanks for understanding

Gotcha, I took your comment literally i guess. It's hard to tell if someone means things with strong statement.
Anyways, I'll try to depict her personality better. It's my take on her with my style so she'll feel a bit unfamiliar especially if you're used to the original version.
Like I said, not everyone will be happy with my fan art version and you won't be the only person who won't like it.

hmmm are you decrease lineart opacity after color process ? ... because i see that lineart become blend with color ... or anything else who make lineart become like that ?

Hi, i'm just wondering, for the linework, what is the difference between your "line blurred" and "line art"? Β also i'm assuming the screen above those are to color your linework? thanks!

I just deplicated the same line art layer and gaussian blurred it. Yes I colored the lines using screen layer on top.
