Developing the scale models was just a fun aside, but they do give you a better appreciation for the magnitude of your actions, and moreover, help you respect it.

For one, that radiator assembly could fit the Vehement itself within it, though it masses only 75 tons. Less drastically, the fully loaded Vehement weighs just over half as much as the full space shuttle assembly, even though the Vehement is vastly larger – you can thank the ultra-low density liquid hydrogen for that. Consider that the Vehement could lug the mass of three space shuttle orbiters up to LEO, though it couldn’t fit even one in its payload bay (granted, a good part of that is due to its wings and the shuttle’s own payload bay).
