Description
So, I like where this is going, but I am not quite sure it's there yet. The pencils were laid out late 2008/9 and I started filling it out last evening and into today. I need to find a good treatment for this that breaths some extra color and texture.Since so many of these portraits involve people who have somewhat silly names, I am starting to title them with their real names where possible; in this case, ~obessiveoreo
Unfortunately, it appears she left DA about a year ago, which is the downside of keeping source references for years in a dusty directory that grows in size.
So, this is a first release: acrylic ink, acrylic paint, gouache, pencil, brush pen, water soluable colored pencil, some PS7.

how much would you charge the inspiration of your work for a print?

Basically I can order a print of your preference at what the base cost is from DA, and I can give it a hand signature and send it off to you if you want.

Well, then send me a note with where you wish it sent and it should arrive...in a reasonable period.

Wow, I didn't think you were even remotely on the site. This is a pleasant surprise.
I am pleased that you like it.
There were quite a few images in your gallery I thought were notably useful, but that was the first -and so far only one- to have made it out of the conceptual phase. Thanks for providing it.

Strong perspective,
and inks work.
The background seems to
hypnotize
me.

I'm always amused to read about the development of your pieces over time. You have such discipline.
I can never keep myself from working something through in a very short period of time.

It's interesting that someone would say that, since I find it the exact opposite; I start something and get *just enough* of it down to know if I come back to it I might have something to work from. It might be a day, it might be years when (if) it does happen. The randomness really can be jarring -- will today bring a whole new work, or pull something from the 'artway there' stacks? Will it be abstract or representational, portrait or fan art, grayscale or eye-damaging color? Et al.
I can never keep myself from working something through in a very short period of time.
There are certainly moments where I do the same, but even with those I might revisit them later (much later) and "remix" them if I think I can bring something new again. I am always reminded of something the late Kevin Gilbert said about his habit of rerecording his songs in that he said if the source material is good and one progresses or picks up new tricks, it doesn't hurt and can in fact be quite good to rehash in order to push your own ability to fix your previous limitations.

Thank you for the response. It's a) interesting/helpful to read and b) a gesture that doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated.

Looks sweet dude. I love the way the face looks with the color and medium, the area around her eye drew me in the most.
