Ab-so-lout-ley stunning. Amazing colours. I am in love with your mixed media and what it does to create textures on their own. There's such an amazing personality in this image that I can't help but stare. Beautiful.

I don't understant why you sais this one turn bad. This is one of my favorite in your series. The intensity of the big black shape of the body create a real eye-attractive effect, and comparing to the background, this neutral place create by the black gives a great contrast. I like also the face expression here.

so may i ask exactly what your technique is... you start w/a stock pot and print it out to work on it, or...?? anyway this was the 2nd piece i viewed in your gallery after your most recent dev. "salvaged" is a term that doesnt really come to mind--this piece is incredible!! i love the stylization and something about it reminds me of my endlessly gloomy moods. LOVE-ly!

The technique is quick and based on blocking out basic shapes out with a lightbox (I don't like wasting hours on doing proportions by sight; I am more interested in stylizing the details further on), and then I get to work adding inks and paint as I see fit. I generally try to work with very limited time constraints and very limited palettes. I use ref shots mostly from the stock art gallery but sometimes I will ask for them or someone will solicit me with a request.

lovely work here. I like the empty spaces... gives the character some dimension in terms of chracter.

I like the small orange outline. It stands out to me. So does the blue around her eyes. And the scratchy, messy background.
She looks paranoid. Quite nice.
