Description
an 'improvisation' using one base layer of acrylics and one layer of painteffects done with ArtRage and combined in Photoshop.It is rare when I do something this minimal, as I am generally wont to be additive to the point of overbearing.
Sometimes I deviate from my own script.

Why do I like this piece? Is it the minimalism, color scheme used, simplicity? I'm not sure, but if I ever figure out how to put it into words, I'll repost.

the closest thing is sketchbook pro, but unfortunatly that costs money, but i dont have a tablet anyway.

Adding to the huge amounts of posts. Worthy of a daily dev. Beautiful and minimalist for sure. I love minimalism. I love the colors. At first I get the feeling of parchment burnt to reveal metal underneath but the longer i look the more it changes...

ok i dont wanna bitch cause i looked thru ur gallery and yes it is amamzing. But this is a minimal amount of paint just kinda thrown onto a canvas and put together in photoshop and its a Daily Dev?.....yes its interesting....the fact that ur blue even though it is paint does glow....but im sorry i dont see why this is a daily dev...i apologize if i offend u and ur art...but like i said u do have talent but i dont feel this should be a daily dev

You do not offend me, so do not worry. I do a lot of different things, but for some reason my abstract stuff seems to garner a very bipolar sort of attention (no middle ground apparently). I do what I do and comments both positive and negative do not really gactor into it. I enjoy getting both because it tells me people actually have a reaction, but ultimately I do this purely for the self.
I really was shocked that this made it to DD (happily shocked, but shocked nonetheless, since thsi jsut seems so far removed from the big-titty anime and 3dS Max experiemnts I usually notice up front)

`zeruch , this is marvellous. A wonderful mix of sterility and mess - which, if I was going to look at it laterally, is a nice compliment to the combination of digital and traditional art techniques. Brava.

yes i guess u are right...they would be few and far between. I feel that a daily dev should be a piece of work that surpasses those of the normal artist. When a spot of paint and a slight digital manip are chosen to be a daily dev wehn ive seen better in a number of unknown artists galleries its frustrating. And like isaid this was nothing personal. I liked ur work some of it should be daily devved because u do have talent. But this perticular piece i feel did not deserve it.
