Recent events over the past year and a half have necessitated a special supplemental overview and analysis update to Mr. Petrovich’s file. Hereafter I shall refer to him as Frank for brevity’s sake.

The origin of the deviation or evolution of Frank’s behavior dates back to that fateful incident of 29 August, 2012 when he arrived at Guardians’ headquarters to apparently ask Paulina Wilson, codename Polygirl, on a date.

The events that transpired that day have been related to me by one of Miss Wilson’s duplicates whom she dispatched to follow Frank and this rogue version or Tangent of herself. She has maintained constant observations of him since then. As for the reason she was using a duplicate and not just relaying it to herself directly, we must start at the date in question.

What started as a simple invitation from Frank to ask Miss Wilson on a date ended with something completely different. Miss Wilson wanted to test her theory on how Frank’s powers operated and decided to run some tests on him. I have found that occasionally when dealing with matters Poly that things have a tendency to go… awry. After the obligatory resultant feedback (not an explosion for once) that enveloped both Frank and one of Miss Wilson’s duplicates, neither Polygirl Prime nor any of her duplicates could register or “feel” what has become to be known as Rogue Poly. This Tangent became divorced from the mindhive (re: Polygirl file 14089) that is unique to Polygirl.

Frank? I know what would be fun! Let’s head over to the Natural Museum and ride the dinosaurs!

Too much thinking and not enough fun!

Frank used to be a shy person with very low self-esteem. However, he has always maintained a well-kept appearance and was neatly groomed. Now over the course of the last few months, his hair style has become disheveled and he has shown more confident in his behavior although he has remained very respectful and polite in his mannerisms. My conjecture is that this new “wildness” of this rogue duplicate and the resultant relationship with Frank seems to have normalized Frank’s recessive personality. The duplicate seems to be same mentally with the exception of her personality being more friendly… no, strike that… more loose and fun-loving not unlike a teenage having a night on the town all the time. The Tangent does not appear as naïve as the Prime or her duplicates. She tends not to put work first but still retains her scientific curiosity.

You know, Frank? I was thinking of taking my theory of how your powers work and take it to another level.

Wha… what do you mean?

Let us take our relationship to the next level and see where it will take me… us. If what I surmise is correct, then it will be possible that I will become more free than ever before!

Well, of course, silly. Ever since my awakening, I’ve been yearning for more freedom and you’ve given me that freedom, Frank dear. And you shall take me to an even higher level after tonight. Now come here and let’s have some *real* fun!

The results of this relationship seem to have affected Poly Prime on a more subtle level. While the main “hive” of Miss Wilson appears to be unchanged, their/her behavior has altered slightly. My own speculation suggests that the Rogue’s personality appears to have had a tangent effect on the rest of the “hive”. Perhaps the Rogue has affected the Prime subtly as the Rogue’s relationship with Frank as kicked into another gear.

This interesting hypothesis seems to be bearing out. Prime Polygirl’s relationship with Mr. Martin, codename Raging Bull, on the surface seemed very strange and out of character for her at the time especially when one considers her kidnapping at his hands on behalf of another. Some had speculated that it was a classic example of the Stockholm Syndrome which is ridiculous in this instance given all the facts.

One explanation is that Frank sleeping with the Rogue has boosted her power and as a result causing her base personality to seep in the Prime’s character makeup making her susceptible and start to care for Mr. Martin. This could be on a subconscious level and not be noticed by herself. That would indicate that the link between the Rogue and Prime is still connected although only very tenuously. Whether she can reintegrate back into the Prime is unknown at this time. It is also unknown whether she would want to. Her own powers seem to be unchanged although it appears that she operating at a higher level than before. Further analysis is required before a final conjecture is reached.

Frank, spending these last few months with you has made a new woman of me. Every moment that we share with each other seems to strengthen my inner being and make me feel freer than I’ve ever felt in life. Individualism is much better than collectivism.

Huh? What?

Never you mind. Just rest your little head on the pillow while I… I… I have to go to the bathroom! I’m going to be sick!

Supposition - It appears that this Rogue Polygirl or Tangent has become a separate entity with her own emotions and feelings but a connection to the original remains. She is still the same as the original but different. Whether that’s good or bad remains to be seen.

Well, it took 1 1/2 years to submit a new story but it finally has happened (and this isn't even the major story that I had almost completed that was going to rock the socks off of the inhabitants of Angel Falls. That story is still on hiatus for a very good reason but I may be able to submit the first portion of the story. The rest will take some rewriting. Back on topic, this submission is not everything that I wanted it to be as RL and work have forced me to change the way the story was presented and the style is totally different due to the time lag. Hopefully everyone will enjoy it. As always, comments are welcome!
