A curious mix. The vector effect in the backgound is that due to implimenting a volumetric material... creates a pleasing contrast with the highly 3D nature of the primitives in front of/with in it.

Oh..ok... *blank stare* I changed the material for the squigglies on this...I have one with the original material in the tutorial, but I wanted different squigglies and I liked how they came out... And of course.....I had to have orange, right?

I wonder what "orange" means? I like the taste of orange, but I'm not sure about the colour... I prefer blue - which is complimentary of course...

Orange means a lot of things to me... It has crept into a lot of my work over the past few years... It's a very warm color...sometimes hot...and never blah. It represents fire and energy and movement to me...I like deep blues and blue that heads toward grey...but I do not like pastel blue or "baby" blue very much in my art...I like deeper, richer colors...

More sychronisity, =casperium, was just talking about the significance of colour. The questions that usually arrise over colour, often relate to if we see the same colours and what colourblind or animals without colour receptors "see" but I think the most curious question of all should be - why are we aware of them at all? Sound has a similar ampliture and spectum arragement, yet we don't have "colours" for sounds, just a continuous sliding scale of pitch. *checks clock* Got to pick to Thomas in a bit, he's had to have one of his legs amputated to stop the spread of this evil tumour thing he has, this is his last chance, if it comes back after this... curtains...

Poor Thomas again... I hope he adjusts well to being short a limb. And I hope the cancer leaves him the hell alone!

Well, he's "sort of" coping but he will not rest and will climb and does forgett it is missing and has pulled his stitches already. *sigh* So I've put him in his carry box and sat him in front of the fire for some "enforced" rest for the time being. Provided he doesn't do himself a mischief before he heals, he'll probably be fine. Fingers crossed.

Left, front... he seems in less pain today, vet has had another look, thinks it's fine... Just a pity he has to go through all these traumas.

I don't do reality well so most of my work is Abstract in Nature.
I don't go anal purist when some one hurls reality at me though either.
There are alot of deviations in my favorites that are not abstract . Either way this is avery intersting hunting scene you have managed to assemble and call an abstract.

Thank you I know there are a lot of deviations in your favorites that aren't abstract, cuz a ton of them are mine!
............... hunting scene?? What are you seeing in this picture that I am not? Are there aliens in there? *peering in* The other one is easier...I decided it's a squashed sqid and that's that lol...

oh god i'm so tired of abstract, half the people I watch (who actually update) are doing alot of abstract

Zethara In reply to radioactive-hamster [2005-10-03 01:20:13 +0000 UTC]
Aww..well that's ok..it's not something I do a lot of all the time...just one of my good friends on here finished some tutorials and I find it very good practice to use them... And also it gives him some traffic to the tutorial site so that all those folks who are learning new things can check it out. If you look at my gallery as a whole, there is definitely abstract stuff sprinkled pretty evenly through...It's not a phase...just part of everything I do.
But isn't the orange pretttttyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy???? *ducking and running*
