Legend of Korra Season 2 marathon today, had to draw something epic and tundra-esque. (OMG, the FEELS! Still not a Mako fan but everything else that's going on...shit's getting real real fast. Super excited for next episode.)This started out as just a lighting/cloud study then the Fire Nation attacked... *shot*

Yeah, one of those things I notice AFTER uploading... didn't want any awkward tangents, as faces tend to have a lot of them and a laser lining up with them would create either visual tension or make it look like they've got laser vision or something. Meh. Valid point.

That is an excellent question. Partially it's one of those things I notice AFTER I upload and people comment on it, but you could argue that they want to take them hostage rather than kill them or not all of the enemy have had a chance to aim yet. That, or they could be aiming RPGs or some other horribly destructive projectile weapons...

Korra: SO MUCH YES. YOU SEEN THE MOST RECENT EP? Same here! I feel so bad for him until Korra apologizes and stuff. Poor guy deserves all the hugs. Same for Korra's mom. Varrick's turning out to be one of my new faves too, he and Ju-lee remind me of Ironman and Pepper if their story was played up for all the humor elements.

...Why can I see Overkill chewing his way through whatever they use to restrain him.
Also, mad props to whatever guy is lying on the ground with his sights on Overkill's thigh/groinal region. That guy knows how to take a hostage.

Ha ha yeah...looking at the comments I feel like I should have added a bunch more lasers, but whatever, if I draw more of this scene I'll do just that. This was a spur of the moment "drop everything and draw nonstop for several hours until it's finished" kind of pic.
As for the laser on his leg: judging by where the laser is coming from, I'd say it's a guy he'd shot already who hasn't quite croaked yet, or is taking cover behind a tree stump or something. Or a really pissed off ewok that somehow got hold of a blaster. Hadn't really decided on nationality/species/armor of the antagonists yet.
