So although they share little in the way of character traits the Scorpion and the Lizard of course shared some morphology - or shape. Humanoid limbs with a powerful tail.

Origin information on the Scorpion is sketchy - it's one of those characters who seems to exist merely for his classic appeal and easy to remember name.

So in the spirit of the redesigns I have been doing, I tried to give him qualities which differentiate him from the crowd. He's mostly mechanized - not a robot, but a powersuit to be sure.

I wanted to render this with a visor of some kind - or maybe leave the headpiece open so you could see it was piloted and not merely a robot.

I may have spent more time on this than any of the other marvel redesigns and finally feel a bit warmed up again - the first of these was very quick - Electro - and I didn't even intend to do this piece untill a fellow DA'er suggested it. Thanks
