Description

This is NOT a step-by-step of how to shine the horse itself,
but rather, I try to explain my technique and how I think when I draw inside lineart. I also explain each action I do in SAI 2 and how to use the layers like I do for this example.
This technique can probably apply in other programs if you already know how to use layer masks and clipping groups.

I have also included the horse psd, that has the lineart and base color layer so that you can download it and practice making the shine layers in it.
You can try to recreate mine, or create your own light source! Go wild!

Please let me know if there's anything odd in my tutorial.
I know that a step-by-step of the horse would have been cool, but I only work on one layer and I didn't feel like it conveyed the message enough by just showing parts of the horse being finished in as I went.
I haven't really done tutorials before (the previous ones being in the 2010s era LOL)
so if you have any input on this tutorial and how I could make my next ones better, feel free to comment down below!
