Why not instead of a scary Metamorpho you try to draw a he bigger and stronger with a physique super muscular worthy of The Thing of Fantastic Four? Or the opposite a "humanized" Metamorpho looking "more beautiful" and "human" equal Element Woman of Doom Patrol?

I think than Methamorpho works better as an scary creature. A handsome Metamorpho would be something very...Bizarro.

But it can work ... Who says that for Metamorpho to work properly as a character he needs to be "ugly", "repulsive" and "horrible"? What is intrinsically wrong about Metamorpho having a more beautiful or powerful look like the Thing of Fantastic Four? Who says his powers need to be an unbearable burden? Who says he can't look cool as a superhero with an appearance more beautiful?I don't think it sounds like a "Bizarre" thing but an interesting concept to work with.

Because that is part of the Metamorpho identity as character. Even if now he is more used to his identity, he fact he looks ugly is a definitory trait. Same as with Ben Grimm, who can be used to his appearance too but from time to time, that insecurity strikes again.
And if you didn't catch the "Bizarro" reference, then I guess you are not reading The Terrifics.

But tell me why because it is a character identity trait to have a horrifying appearance it necessarily has to be "a burden", "a fate" and "a curse" there are so many characters with infinitely worse fates than just having an " ugly face " what a joke Rex Mason or Ben Grimm complains about how they look in the mirror . So why could it not instead that a "curse" could be "a gift" ? Hours balls has the Earth-16 Rex's daughter Megamorpho who has the exact same powers as her father but is beautiful nonetheless! That of attaching a character to an exteriotype predefined as it should be, act or think is ridiculous we human beings are not trapped in exterotypes of collective behavior so yes I think Metamorpho would work as a character without having to be "ugly". And honestly I don't like the "Terrifics" they are a cheap generic imitation of the Fantastic Four.

That is the idea, a more "grimm" take on the character. I wish to see him soon again.

Thanks, but I must confess he was inspired in Ben Grimm.
