Description My redesigned version of Astrodactyl

Hero Name: Astrodactyl

Species Name: Pterosyntheon

Planet of Origin: Terradino

Powers/Abilities: Propulsion Flight, Solar absorption and conversion into energy which is stored in a star-like core in his chest, organic cannons that shoot star blasts.

Weaknesses: Limited sunlight means no power to draw from and if too much power is used in this case, Astrodactyl will fall into a coma like state til he draws in more power to wake up.

Additional info: Astrodactyl has hardened fire proof scale on his hands, forearms, chest, and the "jet shell" on his back to protect his body from from the hear of blasts and jet flames.

Thanks! It's one of my favorite things when it comes to redesigning aliens to think of how their powers might work and with Astrodactyl, it was fun to figure out where the energy he uses comes from and how his biology makes it happen.

Nice. If I redid Astrodactyl, his species would have large humps that contain a supply of fat reserves that is converted into energy that has a slight burning effect that his race evolved as a defence mechanism against Tyrannopede and their webbing. The original design for Astrodactyl would be used for a future rogue of Rook who was given cybernetics by Kundo (who by this point has took on the belief that he should share his "curse" with other races) and boosted in power by the metallic wings that now fully retracted into the jetpack-shaped power enhancer on his back that replaced the hump (which also has minor mind-controlling effects on the poor Pterosaur Alien).

Ironically enough, I just made my take of Astrodactyl about the same size AS Humongasaur (as in...only about 10 feet ) with crystals similar to Godzilla's spikes that absorb energy and project it.

Though in terms of speed...that is someting I am curious about since I am making him a 10-foot Rodan/Godzilla hybrid (And yes, his size? He's not meant to be titanic, but he's meant more for speed than strength compared to Vaxasaurians. Heck, the 'starbursts'as one would call it is meant to more than make up for it...

AND also make sure Tyranopedes dno't eat them because they evolved to move faster (But that led to the webbing thing on the Tyrannopede side)

Well I think his size wouldn't slow him down, but at the same time, this is winged propulsion so he can only go as fast as his muscles allow. XLR8 has the advantage of coming from a planet where everything moves incredibly fast so he moves fast relative to our speed.

Maybe Astrodactyl is as fast as one of the fastest jets known to man? Of course that's in the air. On the ground...likely not that fast but maybe has enhanced strength tocompensate?

Some Jets can reach 4,250 mph. Personally I don't think you should go this route with making him incredibly fast. This is starting to reek of Hyperspace Jetray.
