Powers/Abilities: Using the neuro-suction cups on his hands and tail, Beastmeister is able to influence the minds of animals, Despite his pudgy figure, he is nimble and agile, and Night vision.
Weaknesses: Small size (3 ft)
Additional Info: Ggermaintamers has evolved to develop this ability because on Faunos, they are the smallest creatures among the larger alien animals and predators of their planet. Over generations, they've tried to tame other animals to the point where the ability to tame them has been built into their very bodies. Ggermaintamers have 12 different predators.

But can Zak still control Cryptids ? I remember in the series finale of SS that he lost that ability but I'm not sure if used it in the crossover.

It was. and he still has his powers...after all, the residual magical power is still there in him and basiclaly it just wipd Kur out of his sysem, no the powers he gave him since he got mutated when he was in the wom.

I can just kinda see him having hte inbetween of his parents XP You know...his mom having her hair free and his dad having his hair more short and styled back to show his scientific mindset. SO the ponytail that has the skunk style to it could give him the sort of 'Smart but tough' kinda vibe ;;
And yeah, I am keeping it that Zak is actually a genius compared to Ben. You know...having two super scientist parents can lead to likely a better education and thus skills in sciences that most people cna only imagine

That does sound fine but I don't think Zak would have a skunk style ponytail since his white hair is only on the front half of his head.
Yeah, being smart with the stuff his parents specialize in does make sense. Not sure about the psychic powers boosting intelligence since that's never been a big factor of psychic abilities. Boosted brain power can lead to psychic powers, but I've never seen it happen the other way around.

Well his powers are weaker because he has only a small amount of residual Kur energy so if he does get stronger than it might be just slightly stronger than what he started out with.

Fair enough. Though I Think his enhanced strength and what not are likely to stay since those are physiological changs Kur already did to his body...I doubt his strength would suddenly leave his body just because there's not enough Kur in him ;; I don't think he'd, say, be able to lift a building over his head but maybe a small car at the heaviest? His dad can lift a boulder with ease and his mom can throw a heavy-looking television at a robot without looking like it took a lot of effort.

MAkes sense. Thuogh I think with Bezel's mindset in my GUardian's fic, Zak will need to fill the void Kur now leaves out so thus te magical power let him keep his powers so he can keep Kur's spot in the hiearchy of Cryptids.
...Yeah...Bezel is basically ALL about order in my take on Omniverse instead of just MR. 'I hate Magic because udmb writing'...seriously, 'Magic doesn't have rules'? That's the DUMBEST thing I've ever heard! DX

I'm not too sure about that, only because Kur's power was never essential to anything else besides controlling Cryptids. I think his absence for thousands of years proves that there's no solid hierarchy among cryptids unless someone seeks to try to enforce one.
I made my version a Djinn-like magician whose ascended from his humanity to become a being of pure magic and can make anything happen (via magical reality warping) but he won't be of any help to our heroes because he chooses what wishes to grant and can make them backfire, not evil backfire, but still it's different that what you ask.

Gotcha. My take is basically the guy who keeps the flow in tact. Kur can control Cryptids but without an alpha's powers, could lead to problems. The residual power of the stone could have kept Cryptids in check after all ;;
