You know...with my take on Ghostfreak...I got an explination for the chains;
To avoid any future possessions from Zs'skayr's personality, Azmuth had to remove it when he got th enew Omnitrix. To help wiht that and to give Ben a sort of...weapon to help fight ainst Ectonurites, he contacted Verdona who gave that form braces that can allow him to remove certain parts of the skin but not all at once.So he can remove his head, chest, or hands' second skin but can easily put it back on like putting on a costume.
As for what the braces on his hands are for...they have energy chains made of mana that he can use as a weapon. Again, gift from Verdona XP It kinda gives Ben at least one form that actually has weapons to make up for not being able to use some of his full power.
However...that's during the DAY...see...
I am keeping that Ectonurites can become stronger at night. Especially if it's in darker areas...so he can potentially go more monterous (Think this; vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/b⦠) and more powerful. Heck, I am thinking that he could use a slightly weaker version of htat energy blast that Zs'skayr can use. ;;

Sorry Wasn't sure if Azmuth could think of a way around the Ectonurite hive mind given that I am doubting there is a lot of information about the Anur System ;;;
Plus with Ghostfreak back in the Omnitrix, I think there would need to be precautions so Zs'skayr doesn't make a comeback in the Omnitrix.
So if not Verdona, who would you recommend be a good choice to help make an Anti-Hive Mind thing if te Anur System was mostly unknown as far as we could have tell with the Ben 10 series? ;;

Zigwolf In reply to Shadow-DJ [2016-09-25 06:46:59 +0000 UTC]
Well I think Azmuth could find a way make a mechanical attachment to suppress the Ectoneurite DNA enough to have the hive mind not emerge again, but have Ben still access Ghostfreak and the cuffs could be apart of that. Only the chains are going a bit too far in my mind.
You're probably right in Azmuth not knowing much about the Anur System since he wasn't aware of how dangerous the Ectoneurite could be in the Omnitrix.

Though...if I remember the Omnifacts right...he didn't even put it in there;
It was originally meant to be Flourna DNA, but Myaxx got the DNA from when a mall fraction of Zs'Skayr was possessing a FLourna, which led to his DNA getting put in and over writing over it with the initial ten unlocked. But I gotcha. I can take them out (The chapter which introduces that idea isn't complete so I can easily edit it out.)

Oh yeah! You are right! I totally forgot about that. I wonder if Azmuth ever tried to get Ectoneurite DNA before accidentally getting Zs'Skayr. We know he managed to collect samples from all across the Anur System and even got the extinct Vladat DNA from there.

Yeah. ;;
A goat with mental powers, a multi-eyed swamp monster with a locked jaw and a gargolye with anti-evil powers to add to the fray, as well as a revenant-like zombie XP

Zigwolf In reply to Shadow-DJ [2016-10-03 00:35:19 +0000 UTC]
I think you either need to decide between the slime aspect or the lock jaw when it comes to "swampy"
What are Anti Evil powers ?
The Zombie alien could work, the pop up for Secret of the Omnitrix claimed that there exists zombie looking aliens.

Gotcha ;; I am thinkig multi-eyed man crocodile...but just turning into slime isn't always enough when it comes to fighting since I don't want it to be ak ncok off of Goop ;;;
Think...The Hand of Fate rom Digmon. Angemon's attack ;;
Thanks. So far I thought of him being able to remove body parts to attack...with said body parts being able to mvoe on their own kinda deal like your skeletal alien ;; Or if it cna't do that...it has to regrow parts of it's body. BUT if you get rid of the head, you getr id of the whole thing ;;; (The head is the life line if that makes any sense ;;

Zigwolf In reply to Shadow-DJ [2016-10-04 02:48:22 +0000 UTC]
Maybe have him release slime but have it do a different thing than what Goop does.
Ok, but it targets evil ?
You're welcome. Sounds cool and a pretty solid powerset for a zombie alien.

Zigwolf In reply to Shadow-DJ [2016-10-04 06:11:15 +0000 UTC]
Kinda, he's regular slime most of the time but can go acidic on command.
I'd suggest maybe straying away from that. Your going into magic territory with the sound of that power.

Well look at what kind of monster theΒ Swamp-Thing is and start thinking of how you can change up the standard stuff he's about.
Well maybe have him have a radar sense. That way he can actively seek those who do bad and never lose them once he's in pursuit.

Swamp Muck-humanoid is where Swamp Thing came into play. Creatue of the BLack Lagoon is where I got the idea for a swamp monster as one of the Anur aliens ;; (Since they are using movie monsters, not just fairy tails

I called him 'Baidude'...as a joke off of 'Bayou'

Not Gonna Lie, Read the Entire Conversation and I am set on There being Other Sentient Monster Aliens in The Anur System, Alien Gargoyles, An Alien SwampThing, A Psychic Goat, And the Alien Zombie Sounds Badass as well! If The guys who are Working on The Ben 10 Reboot see your Ideas and think for once, They might be able to make a Decent Halloween Special Where Reboot Ben gets 4 New Anur Aliens on a Full Green Moon to symbolize that The Omnitrix might have a more "Supernatural" Meaning. Also, I got Names for the Other 3 Anur Aliens you Suggested...
Alien Psychic Goat:
Psygoat Or Mindrammer
Alien Gargoyle:
Impetrify
Alien Zombie:
Dead Menace
Also, I liked the Lore behind Ben's Ghostfreak. Mana Infused Chains and His own Awakened Form (That is what I call their Scarier Forms.) Also, If you already made these said Aliens, I'm gunna check em out and fav them. Nice Ideas Bro! Work for Cartoon Network and get their Shit Straight! You got Potential!

I agree with : simple, but effective.
Just out of curiosity, what's your favorite Ghostfreak design; His simpler original series look, the more bugeyed version from Ultimate Alien(that only showed up in a cameo in "Ultimate Sacrifice"), or the chained-up design in Omniverse?
π: 0 β©: 1
Zigwolf In reply to Holycrap1992 [2015-01-01 01:24:42 +0000 UTC]
My favorite is the original series, there's something about the artΒ style of theΒ show that makes him look a little more complex than the other versions.
I do like the OV design a bit but I'd like it more if it was him during a certain scene where he's imprisoned inΒ green chains instead of wearing them all the time. Β

Zigwolf In reply to Holycrap1992 [2015-01-01 07:17:41 +0000 UTC]
I like the reaper look he got but I still prefer the OS version, it just seems scarier with the upside down skull, torso tentacles and long claws.
π: 0 β©: 1
Holycrap1992 In reply to Zigwolf [2015-01-01 07:26:03 +0000 UTC]
Perhaps they could've just done his OS design, but with the addition of a reaper-esque cloak?
Though, I will commend Omniverse for, at the very least, acknowledging his previous appearance by showing his skull upside-down before he turns it rightside-up(complete with neck-snap)...
π: 0 β©: 1
Zigwolf In reply to Holycrap1992 [2015-01-01 20:05:29 +0000 UTC]
Maybe in the showΒ theyΒ could had him try to grow back his sun proof skin and it came out all warped and looking like a reaper cloak.
Yeah, at least they did that instead of his first OV appearance being with his skull upside down.

Holycrap1992 In reply to Zigwolf [2015-01-01 21:14:23 +0000 UTC]
Obviously, they didn't. And that's quite the understatement.
Seriously, though, what the hell happened to the writing of Ben 10 franchise? The original series, while far from flawless, was probably the best written of them all. Alien Force and Ultimate Alien, while the more serious tone was an interesting idea(and certainly a good one for an older Ben), suffered a noticeable drop in writing quality. And Omniverse?... well... I'm sure you know how well that turned-out...
π: 0 β©: 1
Zigwolf In reply to Holycrap1992 [2015-01-02 00:42:20 +0000 UTC]
Yeah the OS probably was the best when it came to writing out of them all. UAF was ok in my opinion, not great, but not terrible, the serious was good for this series but some of the thing wrong with it in my eyes was ignoring the retcons they created and introducing some weird ideas like Charmcaster's backstory and the changes made to Vilgax. It's kindaΒ funny you should say that OV had a drop inΒ writing quality since it has the same writers as UAF. I guess the lighter tone for OV was what led to some of the jokes and moments that weren't really all that great.
π: 0 β©: 1
Holycrap1992 In reply to Zigwolf [2015-01-08 07:43:41 +0000 UTC]
Agreed, UAF ignoring and/or changing continuity was a pretty big no-no(at least for me, anyway), and the "Vilgax" that they had barely felt like Vilgax at all(though, intelligence props to him for using an actually legalized method of conquering worlds).
To be honest, giving Charmcaster's character some backstory wasn't a bad idea, but what they decided to actually do with her got confusing after a while.
Omniverse just felt like a mess. Yes, they tried to go back to the lighter tone of the original series, but even the original series had serious episodes and themes. Omniverse, however, seems to only be interested in the "humor." They also flanderized a lot of their characters(some to atrocious levels) and introduced a smorgasbord of nonsensical and pointless ideas and characters.
Going back to our Zs' skayr idea, I think that I might have come up with a good design for him. I have a picture of it on my phone(since I don't have a scanner) if you want me to show you(just don't know where to send it, since I'm not confident enough to post it on Deviantart).
π: 0 β©: 1
Zigwolf In reply to Holycrap1992 [2015-01-11 06:57:47 +0000 UTC]
I think they were trying to get a villain with all the qualities we hated in Vilgax to be approved but it was denied and they decided to take that character and combine him with Vilgax.
Yeah giving her a backstory was good but I think somewhere along the way they dropped the ball and gave her a bad backstory and an awful name, Hope (ugh).
I think that after the OS they got too dark then to try and fix it the went too light but they went too far and that's how we got omniverse's tone. Yeah I agree they introduced a lot of pointless and nonsensical ideas but the way I look at it, any series will go through that to find the really awesome ideas among the awful ones.
Can you get on DA on your phone ?Β

Holycrap1992 In reply to Zigwolf [2015-01-11 07:51:26 +0000 UTC]
Ah, I'm guessing that executive meddling wouldn't allow "real" Vilgax, since he wasn't "kid-friendly" enough(or some other corporate bullshit)?
Personally, I was just "meh" on her name, but all the terribleness they did with/to Charmcaster is nothing compared to what Omniverse(and, by a minor extension, UAF) did with/to Hex.
True, but there's a difference between experimenting with your series and then there's not knowing what the hell to do with it.
Yeah, why?...
π: 0 β©: 1
Zigwolf In reply to Holycrap1992 [2015-01-11 09:26:02 +0000 UTC]
That's got to be it. Some executive a-hole came in and said "Vilgax is fairly good as he is but how about this...?"
Yeah that was weird that Hex decided to stop being a villain, become a university professor, and donate all of his magical items to the university. Plus Gwen is now his favorite student. You got lead up to stuff like that, not just tell us it and expect us to accept it. I mean it would of been cool if Gwen saved Hex when Charmcaster was about to steal his magic and kill him. In gratitude for saving his life he became a teacher to her. He becomes less evil as a result of being around Gwen but he still has his bad side, only this time it's not focused on killing Gwen or Ben. I can't remember what Hex was likein UAF, thats how little I see his importance to those series'.
Yeah but you gotta admit despite all the bad stuff that's been done in OV. Design wise alot of stuff has been improved like alot of the bland character designs we've seen that came out of UAF.Β
If you go to the top to Submit then go to Stash then press upload files the site will probably open up to where you keep your pictures and you can upload the one you want to show me. That's how i do my pictures since i use my phone and dont have a scanner.Then after its in the stash go to the picture and copy the adress bar on top and send me the link.

Facepalms aplenty.
That idea you had was infinitely better and more interesting than what they actually did(seriously, people complain about Kevin's heel-face-turn, but that's nothing compared to this).
Agreed, Omniverse did have a lot of good redesigns, but there were also quite a few aliens whos redesign(s) suffered. Plus, a lot of the designs became a little less three-dimensional(though, that's probably just the fault of the art style).
Okay, it was a bit of a pain to do(mostly, if not entirely, because it wouldn't actually give me the "I agree" button on my phone, so I had to email it to my computer), but I just finished submitting it. Here's the link (it's a little blurry, since I don't have the most steady photography hands, but I hope it's to your liking).

Holycrap1992 In reply to Zigwolf [2015-01-12 22:08:12 +0000 UTC]
Big Chill is the most obvious example, but there's also Fourarms, Stinkfly, Upgrade(though, that's mostly UAF's fault), Nanomech, and Shocksquatch(despite only appearing for a few seconds in "Heroes United"). Also, I was just commenting that the designs being slightly less three-dimensional was the art style's fault, not the designs themselves.
Really? Thanks.^w^ Feel free to use it, if you wish(please credit me, though).
