Description
So I saw the cutscene movie of the 2 player co-op game, It Takes Two, where parents on the verge of divorce, Cody and May, are turned into toys made by their daughter, Rose, when she cries and tears land on them. A pretty whimsical adventure but man oh man did one part of it break my heart. So Cody and May assume that Rose's tears will change them back, so they have to make her cry, to do that, they plot to kill her best friend, her stuffed elephant, Queen Cutie the Third, ruler of the Toy Kingdom. Cutie has the sweetest voice and is so innocent when the parents first meet her, but they feel like they need to continue with their plan. Cutie escapes in a cardboard escape pod into a claw machine. The parents use the claw to get her and put her in the prize door to retrieve her and when pulling her out they accidentally rip her leg off. Then they drag her to the top edge of a bookcase to fall to her death and it is tragic with the pleas coming out of Cutie. Cutie tries to grab something to stop them and ends up having some objects from a sewing kit fall over and a seam ripper impales her ear to the ground and the parents continue to pull her and off her ear goes. Then she's finally pushed over the edge, barely hanging on and pleads that they stop and that she loves Rose, but the parents feel that they have no choice and down Cutie goes. In the real world Cutie falls in pieces and Rose thinks Cutie hurt herself and cries. The parents go to her and get her tears but they do not work. All that effort to kill someone that didn't deserve it and it was all for nothing.

Cutie wasn't seen at all so her fate other than being dead (or just in pieces in the real world) is left unknown, so for my headcanon of this game, Cody and May fix up Cutie in the real world and while sleeping, they can become their toy selves again. They go on one more quest in the Toy Kingdom to bring Queen Cutie back to life. They find all her separate pieces and sew her back together and get her some new batteries and Cutie comes back to life. Afraid by seeing the people that killed her, Cutie flees but the parents catch up and tell her how sorry they are for what they did. Cutie gives them a chance and accepts their apology if they do two types of "time out". First, Cody and May spend in hour in the dungeon and then the second part is the knights of the Toy Kingdom throwing Cody and May off the bookshelf that they threw Cutie from. Being able to respawn meant no death or serious damage for Cody and May, but Cutie wants this to be a lesson of not throwing anyone off of high edges and not to kill people.
