Before the kidnapping of innocent people for Hybrid experimentation trials, some recruiters were sent out to find people desperate enough for a change. One of these found people were Kate Sooners, a girl who felt helpless to stop horrible things from happening to her and her family, so she decided to do whatever it took get stronger, including experimentation. She was put through the trials and became a hybrid Puma, she was stronger, faster, and able to do things no one else thought possible. Further study of Kate's DNA showed her capable of integrating more animal DNA into her body. Kate refused and was tranquilized. She was strapped to a laboratory table and had a vial of King Cobra hybrid serum injected into her body, which turned her from her Puma form into her Puma/Cobra form in the picture above. Kate considered herself a freak at the point and hid herself away whenever possible. After the Great Hybrid Escape from Trex Industries, many hybrids escaped into the city, including Kate who wandered around the sewers away from the "normal", people as she put it. She wouldn't find a place to fit in until she found three others like her and formed a team with them and even a friendship. She owns the way she looks now and goes out to do exactly what she originally planned for, defending those around her with her new strength and abilities.
