A reimagining of Butch Meathook from Small Soldiers but in a fantasy setting where the Gorgonites and Commando Elites are real and not toys.

Mathias Butcher was a very difficult child to control and always ended up in trouble with his neighbors and with local businesses. Eventually Mathias was sent off to military school to straighten him out. Mathias was difficult and only seemed to really excel when it came to the shooting range. Mathias started to become quite the soldier in training and was offered a chance to become a real soldier, which he couldn't take fast enough. Years later, Butch became a special forces Sniper operative and eventually caught the eye of Chip Hazard. Chip wanted Butch for a very special mission that will take him and others to a place unlike any other, an alien world. Butch and the other Commando Elites would make their way to the world by special gateway and found a wondrous place and many resources for them to exploit, they just needed to clear any native threats, most notably the Gorgonites led by lionite Archer.

Mathias gained the name Butch from military school and Meathook from his fellow commando elites. Butch is equipped with a sniper rifle and some camo-tech that allows him to be rendered almost invisible for a short amount of time.
