A reimagining of Link Static from Small Soldiers but in a fantasy setting where the Gorgonites and Commando Elites are real and not toys.

Linkovarr Static or Link for short had an interesting life before being pulled into the Commando Elites. He was a world class hacker, communications expert, and thief. If something was deemed impossible to steal, he didn't take that as a warning, he took it as a challenge. Things went sideways when he broke into a Commando Elite facility to gain access to their surveillance satellites and was caught by Chip Hazard after an hour long chase. Chip was impressed by Link's skills and offered him a deal, join the Elites or spend the rest of his life in the deepest, darkest prison cell on an island that no one would ever known about much less locate. Link took the deal and served as Chip's communications and hacking expert. Many missions took their toll on Link with him losing an eye and arm and gaining many scars. By the time Chip's Squad made their way to Gorgon, Link's body was mostly held together by his exoskeletal brace and pain supressors.

Link has a whole communication made up of his clones but he's very jealous of the fact that they are like him in most ways except for the fact that their bodies weren't as scarred and torn up as his was. So Link goes around his clones with an air of superiority that he's the original and they're all copies.
