These three brothers are more than just brutish pigs by their appearance, they are some of the most expert smiths of magical items still left in the world. When they were children, their father tattooed runes into each of his sons, giving them each different abilities and also letting them be seen to regular humans as just normal boars. There's also rumors that the brothers are descended from the pig known as Zhu Bajie or as his friends knew him, Pigsy, ally to the Monkey King Wukong.

The youngest brother, Baile, is the fastest of the brothers because of his rune and the quickest to believe things since he doesn't have the world experience his brothers have. Baile is the most social of the three with befriending 14 different magical creatures in the area, while Branech knows 1, and Ebrick knows no one else but his brothers.

The middle brother, Branech, is an organized and careful planner of the brothers. His rune gives him swift and creative thoughts to construct or plan out. Branech hates having to hide from humans since he creates great technology that is way ahead of anything mankind has right now.

The oldest brother, Ebrick, is the strongest of all three brothers, much from his rune, but alot of it coming from his years of training and feats of strength. Ebrick wears the pelt and skull of an Amarok he slayed when he was only in his teenage years. The gigantic wolf had devoured their parents and in revenge Ebrick slayed the creature, skinned it, and wore the skull and pelt to ward off any other magical predator from ever thinking of eating any boars again.

Humans never knew of their existence until a very special one found them out, Red Hoodsley. She captured them and forced the brothers to create weapons and devices for the Hunters. Opposition from them would mean death to the other two brothers and a slow, painful torture of the remaining brother. The brothers had no choice but to comply, but they're not defeated just yet. The Hunters are overconfident in their control of the brothers and do not yet realize that a plan is underway by the brothers to regain their freedom and severely damaged the Hunters who imprison them.

The Boar Smiths are based on the Three Little Pigs and each Boar has a name and an object relating to their houses from the story. Baile is named after a bail of straw and he has a straw belt. Branech is named after a branch with an e and his weapon is a wooden kama (sickle), Ebrick is named a brick with an e and he wears stone weights to make him stronger and faster after they are taken off.
