My redesigned version of Danny Phantom's archenemy.For his new history, he's a bit more of a sympathetic villain. In college he was part of research group studying Ghostology events and subjects with Jack and with Maddie who he was dating at the time. Before his turn to villainy, Vlad was getting ready to show a prototype ghost portal he developed and his team built, but unknown to him, Jack sabotaged the portal to draw more attention to his Ecto-Protector Underwear invention. The sabotage was meant to short circuit the portal and make it probably burn but instead it blasted Vlad and left glowing ecto-scars all over his body. Vlad left the university and went into seclusion to deal with his condition and this unfortunately meant he lost Maddie to the guy who ruined his life. After a few years Vlad found that he developed ghostly abilities which he used to rebuild his life to be better than before. Vlad stole enough money to build his company Masters Industries and become a multibillionaire while also secretely finding ways to gather more power in the human world and ghost zone. Vlad still loves and respects Maddie and that is why he hasn't tried to kill Jack or Danny, though that doesnt mean he won't enjoy hurting them for getting in his way.

i never really got why vlad was made so vampire like in his appearance when he hasnβt even done anything vampiric.

Too bad we couldn't of gotten a flashback to Vlad experimenting on various creatures including vampires and gains certain abilities to combine with his own and because he experimented on a vampire last, he gains some of its appearance.Β

So, why exactly did JAck and Maddie seperate?

They grew apart in their personal lives and in their ghost catching. Due to Danny changing the past, one of Maddie's parents dies in a ghost attack. This events leads her into ghost catching and she keeps her cool for years until she comes across the same ghost that took one of her parents away and she obliterates it. That moment makes for Maddie becoming more merciless in ghost catching, choosing to destroy instead of capture. Jack doesn't want Maddie to be like this and this leads up to their split.

So, what became of Jazz, Dani, and Tucker in this AU?

Jazz is a cop and Tucker is studying stuff not ghost related like magical artifacts and cryptids. Dani, I'm not sure what to do with her.Β

Considering that Vlad's a lot less evil here judging from comments below, Dani may not exist since he wasn't desperate enough to clone Danny.

Well Vlad is still evil, but he's more sympathetic this time around. So even if he didn't create Dani for the same reason as before, he still creates her in this timeline.

I read it and he might have been cooler as a vampire. Butch's/Nickelodeon's excuse of him seeming "too occult" as a vampire sounds really weak.

That excuse is piss poor. Butch should've envisioned him as so:
Born in the 17th century, Vlad was an up and running vampire. Despite his nature, he showed compassion and charisma towards humans.
Unfortunately, being the 1800's, people were SUPER paranoid about the supernatural and anything not related to their beliefs.
One night, a group of priests came to the house of his human love, Madeline, to perform an exorcism on her. Vlad protected Madeline while fending off the exorcists when actual ghosts appeared from nowhere to help their vampire comrade (they're all supernatural creatures, are they not?)
The leader of the exorcists, Ebenezer Fenton, cast a spell on the vampire and the ghosts, casting them into another realm.
In this particular realm, only ectoplasmic creatures can survive and thrive while Vlad loses conciousness
After saving the vampire, the ghosts escorted him to the Lair of their ruler, Pariah the Ghost King.
Vlad regain conciousness and explained what happened to and asked if there was a way back. Unfortunately, the king informed him that only ghosts can enter and leave this realm.
But taking pity on the vampire, the king made a deal with him, saying that he'll help him return to the human world in exchange for his allegiance to him for the the being.
Vlad humbly agreed and trained in the arts of becoming a ghost, with Dorn, the Knight of Fright, as his mentor.
Though the training was long and hard, he was fueled with reuniting with his love and giving those denied a chance to live a second one, all the while becoming something greater...

No, in this altered timeline Vlad is pretty different
1) He's more like a mentor Danny is reluctant to learn from.Β
2) After Jack and Maddie split up, Vlad started going out with Maddie andΒ he told her his secret.
3) Vlad has some vague memories of himself from the original timeline and did what he could to change himself from that.

Vlad still holds some resentment towards Jack for purposely (in this timeline) causing the accident that gave him ghost powers. But he lets some of that anger go when Jack lands on hard times after his split with Maddie.
