Description
Last of a three part series.Meshed and Rendered in 3D Studio. Brushed in Photoshop and 2D in Illustrator.
I'm thoroughly f**ked off with this series as I can't get it to work quite how I wanted in any of the three submissions. Each works well, just that they didnt turn out quite how I wanted
I have loads of cool renders from this project, and an enormously frustrating amount of unfinished near misses (some of which may end up in my Scrapbook)
If anyone really likes these renders and wants to have a crack at doing something better than I have managed (which, lets face it, aint gonna be hard) then Note me and I'll post all eleventyhundred of the concept renders. U never know, something good might come out of it

I've had this as a wallpaper so long. I had it from before I was a deviant here. It's really nice, I never get bored of it, which with other wallpapers I do.

Now this one is confusing. Is the viewer falling down into a deeeep hole, or are they looking up into the lightningh-filled red sky? Hmm, its difficult to tell.
All I can say is that I love the transparencies you've used, and the lava-esque look of the lightning at the bottom/top

the 2d adds an incredible sense of movement to it all imo, it feels like everything's moving at full speed down towards the light!!!

I should give this a crack, I use 3dsmax for school projects, rendering actual buildings and the like. But I think trying a bit more of the abstract dramatic stuff would influence my 'normal' renders. For me this is where this image gets a little lost. There is just a little too much, things layered on each other until nothing has it's own voice. And while it does make a striking image, it leaves me wondering whether the parts where better in and of themselves than the whole piece put together.
