this..this is just breath taking in so many ways. i'm assuming its a mirror effect to dissect the cube and create the many recursions of it you see.

its actually a recreation of 3d sculpture. cube is dissected in 3 pieces made of 3 materials which fit perfectly together to form a cube. it was pretty darn hard to figure out the dissection really

heh making a cube is easy. its making a cube from something else is when it gets hard.
i can see what you did. on the first side facing us i see a 4 sided dissection and to the back i see the triangle cuts and i'm assuming the rest wraps around to make the cube perfectly.

after looking at his original depictions my assumption was incorrect. its just a oversized polygonal mashup to make the cube. what a mathematical wonder he did

it owns it all for reality looking stuff or just anything and setup time is not bad at all and it will render forever if you let it thats one thing i like about it if you are doing a test render you dont have to let ir run until its done you can stop it at anytime and see the results

nie wiem czemu ale kojarzy mi się to z - szafką na garnki o nietypowym kształcie w dużej ciemnej łazience z granitowym blatem położonym prosto na 2 /albo 3 takich 'kubikach'
a w tle okno tarasowe !
... haha P

Well at least you have the option to scratch it properly, then. For that cube the scratches didn't really make sense since it's a sculpture, and they're usually kept in good condition, but it just wouldn't look the same without them!
Ahh the bane of photo-realistic 3D rendering...

it does look good
may want to consider some dirt at the base, it looks kind of floaty

vray is fun unless uneed to push tour quality very high then its 10hours of render anyway
