I would really appreciate any and all feedback as to what I could modify to make it look even more natural!

Dynamically animated running model using key point data smoothed with B-Spline interpolation. All from scratch.

I'll be using this for character animations in the game I'm making. Check out the game engine so far here: [link]

This is super cool. It helps me a lot with drawing since I have a tough time putting characters in motion.

this...is really awesome and useful..kind of looks like a power jog. I'd like to see one for sprinting and just a reg walk cycle...this totally rocks.

I think this looks really good! You can almost see him/her breathing in and out. Great job! Can't wait to see the finished game

Thanks! Yeah, I really wanted it for the run-walk animations for the game I was working on for a while. I wanted smooth animation transitions, so I started with some reference footage and set some keyframes, then I smoothed it with a B-Spline algorithm and I had to set all of the data for percent of motion change. It turned out better than I expected, to tell the truth

The only thing I'd have to point out is where the feet come into contact with the ground. Most people have more of a roll on the foot than a flat-footed runner.

Depends if you're running barefoot or shod. Barefoot runners land on their toes rather than their heels. I happened to be barefoot when shooting the reference footage, and I just did a little bit of modification to give it a liiiitle bit more of a heel-down look. But I'll see if I can make that even more prominent.
