This is based on the theory that the Nightmare Animatronics were real, used in experiments on children that were captured by the Funtime Animatronics. It's not the best theory floating around, but I could buy it, and it inspired me to make this edit.CONTEXT:
With the disappearance of the endoskeletons from the Funtimes and their shells remaining, there was no way they could continue kidnapping kids, and, as such, there was no purpose to keeping the Nightmare Animatronics.
One by one, they were all scooped......
"Nightmare Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Plushtrap.... They're all here, boss, except Fredbear." A newly-employed technician told one William Afton over a walkie-talkie. Yet, he didn't respond. "... 'Ello? Afton?" The technician asked, confused....
Suddenly, the alarm that would warn employees within the room that the scooper was about to go off. Before the scooper launched forward, he saw a faint image, through the fog and smoke, of the missing Nightmare. Fredbear was staring at him, his red eyes shining and his arm over the button that would set off the scooper.
The scooper launched forward-
All the technician saw was a brief red mist and blackness.
