Imo, the blade colour and shading look very good. The shape is also quite good, but the handle looks a bit short, though.

I think this blade'd be quite large and heavy, and has a thick handle to suit some big-handed dude, but still, guess you're right. Both the handling and the looks would probably improve with a longer handle. Thanks for the comment and for pointing that out! ^_^

May I ask where you find your inspiration? Since I'd like to be able to draw beautiful swords as well, without copying your art.

Err... let's see...
Of course, there's blockbuster stuff like Lord o/t Rings. Then there's games, like Morrowind... Then there's other every day things like insects, leaves and so on.
I had drawn a lot of straight swords at the time, so I decided to do something else. The setup was really quik: just a fast S-bend, and a sketchy 'spiky movement' around it. I probably needed to tone that down (can't remember but seems logical), erase some loose lines, and let myself have fun with some funky coloured markers.
I don't know if the pencil shading was done on top of the marker colours, or if I shaded first... I guess both are fine.
