It is not perfect, but it worked out quite good.I used my Kinect camera with the fast computer of my neighbor, running kinect fusion,
a program you can download from Microsoft.
I can overpaint the funky texture in her hair easily in the 3D program.
I should be no problem to make a papercraft of her.
The scan of her twin sister was corrupted while saving, so we have to do hers again.
Once I have hers to, I will arrange and fix them and make them ready for papercrafting...
maybe even before I finish rainbow, I am not sure yet.
and I have to reduce the faces a lot, half a million may be a bit much

try to make her sit still for longer and take your time so the program can properly do it... i don't know much about kinect fusion, but i think that might work.

Well, I tried that.
And when I try again with my other daughter, I will scan her again as well.
I maybe try to lower the resolition,
because it is with half a million face much more then I need and it should make things easier for the scanning process.

And what way is that?
So I can build my daughters... and not a generic human?

Get a low polygone 3D model of a female body ( edit it as you wish , add a generated 3D head of your daughters ( built with a 3D head generator software ) on the 3d body .
Facegen modeller ( recommended ) , or faceworx can help at this .

I looked into it and I guess it would be pretty perfect for most uses,
but for me this project would be like a 3D photograph of my daughters, so I can look back in a few years and see how they looked like.
Even this first try is far better then anything I could do with these software,

I bought myself a cheap 16$ Stadycam to that I will connect the kinect,
I guess I can get a better result this way.
