That's a really nice and interesting design for a Sega Genesis controller, and it's sure to please die-hard fans of the NES as well!

That makes me wonder, can you modify a Mega Drive controller so you can use it with a NES?

I believe the closest you can get is the Hyperkin Retron. Specifically, the version that plays NES, SNES, and Genesis games. On that, you can plug in a standard Genesis controller (instead of the ones it comes with) which will work with SNES and NES games.Β Of course, the two buttons that work are "B" and "C". Also, where's the select?

This Custom was Done for me and the reason for it is...Β I have a modded xbox with every 8 bit game known to man on it...Β And I have an adapter that allows you play with your genesis controller on the original xbox..Β I mainly play the nes emulator the most and since nintendo kinda won the war with sega I thought why not have a sega controller the is branded nintendo...Β here is where you can get on of these adapters shop.brunofreitas.com/

I love it like all your items but...why would someone want a Nintentoized SEGA controller? Most people who are die hard Sega fans hate Nintendo.

The owner has a NES themed xbox he got from jayrod2. I think he will make an adapter so he can play genesis games on his modded xbox.Β

I have a Sega Gen but I still have every Nintendo, you can love all consoles if you like games. The Sega Gen controller is just black so spicing it up is cool.

Yeah but the Nintendo had way better games on it. Genesis was more...Disney/cartoon related games or movie games. At least that's what I felt it was. I mean they had Sonic of course and with the 32x you could get into some better games like Doom which didn't happen for Nintendo until SNES. But the N64Β version was the best Doom for Nintendo.
There were games that Nintendo just couldn't do on the NES which Sega took advantage of that fact with their Genesis Does, Nintendon't ad's. But Nintendo followed through and made the SNES, which I feel was better then the Genesis anyday even with all it's add on's. Then again i'm a true Nintendo fan so maybe it's just natural for me to see them as better.
Also yes the Genesis controllers are so ugly and bulky...it's nice to see one that's not a another Sonic paint job.
