Description
A male Common Side-blotched Lizard (Uta stansburiana) in full breeding dress strikes a pose for my camera, though apparently getting a shot of his face was out of the question. Named for that little black spot by his "armpit", these are by far the most common lizards of the American southwest.Photo taken in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, San Diego County, CA.
