Description Durr... another novel illo. Damn I'm behind with my schedule. Still haven't edited all of the text either. I was supposed to have more time during the passing fortnight, but what did I end up doing? Sewing a winter cloak for the weekend's SCA event. ¬_¬
It turned out quite nice, though, so pics will be posted.

He swung the scimitar over his shoulder, both hands grasping the handle, and returned it with a horrible force against the last obstacle. Metal creaked and bent under the blow. Wood splintered and flew into every cardinal point. --
"Hurrrgraah! Horrrghrrr! Thus spaketh Gh'alowazahrh, Lord of the Blades, Skull-Cleaver and Warrior-Reaper!" He stopped and deliberated for a second. "And now also the Door-Shredder! Ruahahhahhaahorrrh roh roh roh horrh!"

...or somesuch blather.

The Curse of Rha-kan'Ocka belongs to me.

I still haven't decided whether I want two-color pictures or black-and-white. I just think this kind of scheme would separate the background better from the character.

I like the idea of two-color pictures, since your drawings are always full of details (horror vacui?) it is good to have things stand out better

Oh, there is an actual name to my condition. XD Eh, I think it comes from the facts that every inch of nature is always laden with texture and details, and that I essentially find simpleness boring. Sometimes I enjoy drawing backgrounds more than the foreground characters.

I know, though. I've been pointed out the similarity a couple of times, but I had no idea of this character's existence before someone commented maybe two years back and I looked it up. As a whole, Khran's still rather different.

Siinä on taas tämä ihana mies! Hirvittävän upea poseeraus ja anatomia, valaistus myös, puhumattakaan kaikista noista yksityiskohdista- ei ihme että olet yksi suosikkitaiteilijoistani täällä deviantartissa.

Siinä on kans miekalla kokoa! Ja täytyy mainita nuo varpaankynnet, ne ovat jotenki aivan ihana yksityiskohta.

Juu, kaikilla Rha-kan'Ockalaisilla on tuommoiset miekat, tosin Khranhan on jo n. 2,5m pitkä ja painaa jotain 400kg, joten voimaakin löytyy. Se hankkinee tosin raskaamman jossain vaiheessa juonta, koska, noh... iso haltija tarvitsee isot pelivälineet. XD

Mä luulen, että se pääsis puuhun kiipeämään noilla varpaankynsillä. Jos siis löytyy puu, joka ei napsahda sen painon alla.

Tällä häiskällä onkin sitten ongelmana repiä lakanoitaan öisin noitten kynsien takia. Joten eivät ne ihan hirveän käytännölliset ole. XD

Suomen ilmastossa ei sandaaleilla vaan kovin kauaa selviä...

When is the publish date? I started reading it on your web site, then it vanished, and I really want to know what happens next!

Errrr, I don't have a fixed publishing date. I've been forced to push it repeatedly into an indefinite future, because RL is eating up my time so much. Someone is proof-reading it for grammar and flow right now, so I suppose it still requires work thereafter. Also a couple of more illustrations need to be whipped up.

The draft is up here at DA (just go into my gallery and look at the left pane), but it has some dead links which I should fix sometime. Like I said to the person below, all reading of the older version happens at your own risk, because it has all sorts of awkward bits that really, really needed polishing. I don't know how far you got, though, so I might add that I'm working with the first 'book' now, while the second remains yet unfinished.

Erk, it's under editing, so I recommend that you leave it be until it's published. The version here at DA is only a draft, and seriously makes me cringe because of all the cantankerous bits. XD The final version also has some character and concept changes, and is about one fifth longer.

At your own risk, then. I've spent long days banging my head against the desk while brooding over how to get the flow better in some parts.

Though, I can show you a sample chapter of the newer version, if you like. If it's compared to the scribble concocted four-five years back, it does show a great deal of differences. XD
