Is it just me, or does something about those drones resemble the Aperture Science turrets in the game Portal?

Really excellent! I love the texture of the "smooth" head of the robot, and the blurriness of the surrounding seems to bring the attention to the bot profoundly
However, the dotted snow, for some reason makes my head dizzy, which could be another plus for this deviation! Congratulations!
Wow,, coffee and subway... was there a lot of people?

The missile and smoke trail does not look convincing at all. There is a lot of smoke but no fire? Also the design of the missile looks more like a super captivating torpedo than a missile. It got no fins nor any guidance system.
Furthermore the snow looks more like rain than snow. The only way snow gets motion blurred like that is if it is a strong wind, and then the snow is blowing from the side.
Also it looks like it is just one layer of snow, for example the atmospheric perspective is supposed to make it whiter the further away it goes due to the massive amounts of snow in the air. Right now there are just 2 sizes of flakes in the air, there are supposed to be a lot of smaller ones in the back.

thanks a lot dude for your critique, you say the right...
I don't know why I'm not adding fins or what ever ^^
so, I think the snow looks like snow, but a little bit to massive and a little bit to correctly, snow has different sizes a shapes and my snow has different sizes but not different shapes >.<
so, thanks a lot dude for your powerful critique, it helpy me so much

Thank you for taking the critique into consideration, the fact that you actually read and considered my critique signifies that you are a good artist that will make it far in your art career. Too many people take critique as personal insults and discard it or lash back, they do not possess the artist mind set and will never push themselves to new levels.
You however can take critique as an artist is supposed to, and even if you choose to discard the advice - you have read it and considered it. That is a sign of a promising artist that always pushes himself to new and higher levels. My hat is off to you.

thanks a lot dude
Yeah, I want to be a good artist and I do that what I can do to getting better and better...
A powerful is more helpful than a good feedback "dude, your are is so amazing" (so, it's very cool if other say that to my art) but it doesn't help me to getting better...
I've in other communities sktechbooks and so on, but nobody want to answer some critique to my art.
So that is it, why I'm so happy about your critique and it was very constructive
thanks a lot again
so for my english, but I want to do it better too

It's the corporation from the game Portal, it has a very similar aesthetic to their robots.

Is it just me or do these robots remind anyone else of apeture science?

Wow! What is the story behind them, if any? I love robots and like to know about them.
π: 0 β©: 1
ZuluSplitter In reply to Neurotic-Dragoon [2010-03-28 22:28:52 +0000 UTC]
haha, thanks
so the story behind the robot is:
A spider-robot storm a mountain alliance base at 2.386 meters. You see here a some robots that storm a base because the environment is the bad
and the high for soldiers. the robots are more a pilotless drone and has a intelligent computer inside.
π: 0 β©: 1
Neurotic-Dragoon In reply to ZuluSplitter [2010-03-29 00:56:39 +0000 UTC]
So the robots are invading? Or are they protecting the base?

Yuzazi [2010-03-28 22:12:42 +0000 UTC]
Wow. I'm blown away.
Though, you may want to fix some things.
The missle looks like a firework. Or a needle with a huge point. The missle would look a little more..realistic...If you made it sort of roundish with fins.
Based on the size of the mech, that hook thingy is just way too small. Unless it has a super motor or something. May wanna increase the size whenever you do another robot.
For the most part, it's really good for a first robot.
π: 0 β©: 1
ZuluSplitter In reply to Yuzazi [2010-03-28 22:19:41 +0000 UTC]
hey dude,
yeah, you say the right, the missle isn't the best example for a fast missle, but yeah,
it looks like a little bit a needle >.< *bing bing* xD So, I've a new idea of a new robot, haha, so I think I
want to paint it tomorrow
thanks a lot for your critique,
it helps me a lot to make the next robot better than this one
thanks and all the best
